Road Closures for Quest Kenmare Adventure Race

Roads / Streets Closed on Saturday, 2nd March from 6.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.
  • N71, Kenmare - starting from Henry Street Junction and finishing at the Park Street Junction.
  • Market Street, Kenmare - starting from Market house and finishing at the N71 Junction.
(Motorists are advised at the above times Park Street will operate as a two-way street. All traffic is advised to use the Kenmare eastern Relief Road via Park Street and Railway Road)

Kenmare Parking/Casual Trading Restrictions The following car parking spaces will be closed as follows:
From 6.00 p.m. on Friday, 1st March to 6.00 p.m. on Saturday, 2nd March:
  • All car parking bays on both sides of N71 starting from Henry Street Junction and finishing at the Park Street Junction.
  • Car parking bays on the left (West) side of Henry Street
The following casual trading bays will be closed as follows:
From 6.00 p.m. on Thursday, 28th February to 6.00 p.m. on Saturday, 2nd March:
  • Casual trading bays (No. 20 to No. 29) on Park Street.

Temporary Closing of Roads – N70 Killorglin

Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, and the Temporary Closing of Roads Regulations, 1994, Kerry County Council is proposing to close to public traffic the following road:
  • Road: N70 National Secondary Road (New Line Road) in Killorglin Town between it’s junction with Lower Bridge Street and it’s junction with Mill Road. Road
  • Closing Times: from 7:00am on Monday 18th February 2019 to 6:00pm on Sunday 24th February 2019, both dates inclusive.
The purpose of the road closure is to avoid major interface between construction plant and road users (General Public) and to facilitate pavement improvement works on New Line Road. An alternative route will be clearly signposted. Proposed diversion routes can be viewed on www.kerrycoco.ie. Any person having an objection to these proposals should lodge same, in writing, with the Administrative Officer, Kerry National Road Design Office, Kerry County Council, The Island Centre, Castleisland, County Kerry not later than 4.00 pm on Wednesday 6th February 2019.

Road Closure (Coolnoohil - Sillahertane Junction)

Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, and the Temporary Closing of Roads Regulations 1994, Kerry County Council has decided to close to public traffic the following road:
  • Road: L3400 between Coolnoohil and Sillahertane Junction.
  • Road Closing Times: from 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m., Monday to Friday, between the dates of Thursday, 14th February to Thursday, 28 th February.
The purpose of the road closure is to facilitate the construction of 110KV grid connection between Ballyvouskill Substation and Coomataggart Substation on behalf of Kerry Wind Power Ltd. Access will be provided for Emergency Services and with local access only for residents. Alternative Routes will be clearly signposted.
