Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-

Section of L-2474-40 Glen Road, Monkstown



Period of Closure

From 07:00hrs Monday 25th November, 2019 to 07.00hrs Wednesday 18th December, 2019. (24hr Closure)



Reason for Closure

To facilitate Installation of Pipe network associated with the Lower Harbour Sewerage Scheme



Alternative Routes

Traffic travelling eastbound on the L-2474 wishing to access locations east of the closed section of roadway should turn left onto the L-2481-0, head in an easterly direction and proceed to the junction of Laurel Hill (L-2480) and turn left to rejoin the R-610. Traffic on the R610 wishing to access locations west of the closed section of roadway should turn right onto Laurel Hill and follow diversion signage.



Traffic on the L-6470-0 should head in a westerly direction and turn left to rejoin the R-610.



Traffic on Scotchmans Road and Diamond Road should proceed in an easterly direction to join the R-610 and follow diversion signage.



Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.

From 08.00hrs Monday 2nd December, 2019 to 17.00hrs Friday 20th December, 2019

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate Bridge Repair Works to Aughnabrogra Bridge



Alternative Routes

From the junction of the L7601 and L7600 travel south on the L7601, turn right onto the L7606 to Lisgoold, turn right onto the R626 to Ballincurring, turn right onto the L7604 and continue to rejoin the L7601. This alternative route is also applicable in reverse.



Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure however local access will not be available through the road closed section at Aughnabrogra Bridge.



Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-203-19, not later than 5pm on Tuesday 12th November, 2019. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

L2752 Kerry Road, Blarney.



Period of Closure

From 08.00hrs Monday 25th November 2019 to 18.00hrs Friday 29th November 2019. (24hr closure)



Reason for Closure

To facilitate the Construction of a Cattle Underpass and Effluent Holding Tank.



Alternative Routes

The L2752 Kerry Road will be closed at the Blarney Golf Resort. Diversion route will be at Vicarstown Cross at Matehy. Travel along the L2763 from Vicarstown Cross and turn right and then travel on to the R579 for 3km and in to Cloghroe and on to Blarney. Similarly travelling from Blarney travel to Cloghroe turn right on to the R579 for 3km and take the right and on to Vicarstown Cross.

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS



Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-



Road Subject of Closure

L-2042-0(Part), Connolly Street and Jasmine Place, Bandon.

Phase I”, L-2042-0 (Part), Jasmine Place, from its junction with Hospital Lane (L-2059-0) to its junction with Bandon Relief Road (N71-102).

Phase II”, L-2042-0 (Part), Connolly Street, from its junction with Station Road(L-2061-0) to its junction with Hospital Lane (L-2059-0).



Either “Phase I” or “Phase II” closure shall only be in operation at any given time.



Period of Closure

From 07.00hrs Monday 2nd December 2019 to 19:00hrs Saturday 8th February 2020.

(24 hour Closure)



Reason for Closure

To facilitate Pipeline Construction.



Alternative Routes

During “Phase I” Road Closure, traffic intending to access Jasmine Place from the west side shall at the Hospital Lane junction divert west along Connolly Street, then turn right on to Station Road (L-2061-0), then turn right on to Glasslinn Road(R-586-0), take the second road exit at the next roundabout onto the Bandon Relief Road (N71-102), then approach Jasmine Place junction from the opposite side of the road closure.  



During “Phase II” Road Closure, traffic intending to access Connolly Street from Oliver Plunkett Street shall turn left on to Station Road (L-2061-0), then turn right on to Glasslinn Road (R586-0), take the second road exit at the next roundabout onto the Bandon Relief Road (N71-102), then turn right onto Jasmine Place, then approach the closed road from the opposite side of the road closure at the Hospital Lane junction.



The stated diversion routes are applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.



Local access is to be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure where possible.
