URGENT TEMPORARY CL OSING OF PUBLIC ROAD – R627 Ballinacole to Dungourney.



Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993, and Article 12 (6), in Part 8 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that the urgent closure if the road as detailed below is necessary, in the interests of public safety.



   Road to be Closed:

R627 From Ballinacole to Dungourney.



Alternative route:

Midleton to Dungourney via N25 to Castlemartyr left on L3805-44 to Mogeely and left on L3805-18 to Dungourney. Return as above but in reverse.



Duration of closure:

Monday 27th May 2019 to Tuesday 28th May 2019

(08:00hrs -19:00hrs Daily)



Reason for closure:

Repairs to Road Surface

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-

Period of Proposed Closure

From 08:00hrs Monday 17th June 2019 to 18:00hrs Saturday 20th July 2019

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate Installation of 350mm Ductile Iron Pipe



Alternative Routes

From Bowles Gate Cross Roads take the R629 to Ballinacurra and R630 south to Bawnard Cross. This alternative route is also applicable in the reverse direction.



Local access will be maintained for property owners on the road.



Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-93-19, not later than 5pm on Tuesday 28th May, 2019.

From Knockasturkeen travel on the L-3630 to the R629; turn for Ballinacurra / Midleton; continue on the R629 / R630 to Lakeview roundabout; take the N25 east to Two Mile Inn. This alternative route is also applicable in the reverse direction.

From 08:00hrs Friday 7th June 2019 to 18:00hrs Friday 5th July 2019

(24 Hours Closure).



Reason for Closure

To facilitate the Rehabilitation of Watermains



Alternative Routes

Travelling north at Cahermore Cross Roads take the L-8016-0, L-8014-0, L-8014-8 east via Freahanes and Derryduff to Coolcraheen, take the L-4002-20, L-4002-0 west through Caherbeg to rejoin the L-4240-46.



The reverse applies travelling south.



Local access to be maintained throughout the duration of the road closure.

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS



Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-



Road subject of Closure

R-586-0 North Main Street, Bandon.



Period of Closure

From 07:00hrs Monday 10th June 2019 to 19:00hrs Sunday 25th August 2019

(24 Hour Closure).



Reason for Closure

To facilitate Pipeline, Road and Footpath Construction.



Alternative Routes

Traffic intending to access North Main Street from Kilbrogan Hill and Emmet Row will be diverted west along the R-586-12 passing the Dunmanway Road, follow the road onto the R-586-25, then at Carhoon East turn left onto the L-2019-0 heading towards Baxter’s Bridge, follow the road to its junction with the N71 at Knockaveale, then turn left onto the N71-982, follow the road on to N71-993, and then N71-1001, take a right at the mini roundabout onto Kilbrittain Road (N71-1013), then turn left onto the Bypass Road (N71-1018), follow the road onto the N71-102, then take the first exit at the roundabout onto the Glasslinn Road (R586-0), follow the road, then at the junction turn right onto St Finbarr Place and continue onto Bridge Place (R-586-0) whereby then approaching the closed road from the opposite side of the road closure.



The above stated diversion is applicable in reverse when travelling the opposite direction.



Traffic approaching Bandon on the R-586-0 from Enniskean intending to traverse North Main Street, will be diverted right at Carhoon East onto the L-2019-0 towards Baxter’s Bridge from where they shall then follow the above stated diversion from that point onwards.



Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the road closure.
