TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS



Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-

L-6270 Grange Hill, Kilumney, Co. Cork



Period of Proposed Closure

From 08.30hrs Monday 10th August, 2020 to 17.00hrs on Friday 21st August, 2020

(24hr Closure - excluding weekends)



Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate Road Resurfacing



Alternative Routes

Northbound Traffic: From Sacrom Cross Roads follow L-6276 through to Corbally Cross. Follow the L-6279-59 to Jimmy’s Cross. Follow L-2225-17 and L-2220-13 north to Ballynora West Cross. Travel across Maglin Bridge and along Maglin Road, travel west along Castle Road and Greenfields Road to Greenfields Road Roundabout. Travel south over the N22 overbridge and follow the L-2216-129 west to Grange Cross.



Southbound Traffic: Follow L-2216-101 west to Kilumney Village. Follow L-2218 south towards Crossbarry. At Begleys Forge follow L-6275 East to Mylane Cross Roads. Follow L-6270-69 to Sacrom Cross.


Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.



Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-105-2020, not later than 5pm on Friday 17th July, 2020. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-



Road Subject of Proposed Closure

R-594-0 Aughaville to Dereeny Bridge road, from junction with R-586 Aughaville to junction at L-8737-0 Caheragh Graveyard (total of 3.25km).



Period of Proposed Closure

From 08:00hrs on Tuesday 4th August, 2020to 18:00hrs on Friday 7th August 2020 (24hr Closure).



Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate Road Repairs.



Alternative Routes

From the west, continue on the R586 to Drimoleague and take the R593 to Skibbereen to Dereeny Bridge to meet the R594.



From the R586 to the east, divert at Drimoleague onto the R593 to Skibbereen to meet the R594 at Dereeny Bridge.



From the south, divert at Dereeny bridge and continue along the R593 to Drimoleague. In Drimoleague, take the R586 westbound to Aughaville.



Residential access will be maintained when possible during the duration of the Road Closure.



Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-113-2020, not later than 5pm on Thursday, 16th July, 2020. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

From 06.00hrs on Monday 10th August 2020 to 18.00hrs on Friday 18th September 2020

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate Pipe Laying Works for the Lower Harbour Sewerage scheme.



Alternative Routes

For Local Access Only – From the Lower Road turn right into White Point Estate L-9601-1 take the next turn left into Whitepoint Drive L-9601-2, access to White Point Road will be from a temporary access road for use by the Local Residents.

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.



Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.



Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-110-2020, not later than 5pm on Thursday 16th July 2020. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate the installation of a cattle underpass





Alternative Routes

Divert North via L1519 towards Castlelyons and East via L1520-39, L1520-39, L1521, L1516 via Knockmourne to Conna and onto the R628.



This alternative route is also applicable in the reverse.

From 20.000hrs on Friday 31st July 2020 to 18.00hrs Sunday 6th September 2020.

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate Cobh Lower Harbour Sewerage Scheme and associated works.



Alternative Routes

Approaching Cobh from the West along the R624 turn left on to Spy Hill L-2978, turn left on to Laundry Hill L-2965, then turn right on to Park Road/Ahern Place L-7058, turn left at the T-Junction on to Orilla Terrace L-2989, turn right on to Bishop Road L-2992, continue to roundabout and take the third turn on to the R624.



Approaching Harbour Row from the East turn right on to Harbour View L-9621, continue straight on to Wolf Tone Street L-9621-1, at the T- Junction turn right on to Sandymount L-2990, then turn left on to Smalls Well, turn left on to Spy Hill/Bishop Street L-2978, continue to junction with the R624.





Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC 102-2020, not later than 5pm on Wednesday 15th July 2020. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
