Strong gale to storm force S'ly winds and high tides are expected tomorrow as storm Brendan approaches. Exercise extreme caution around exposed coastal areas.



Please be advised that Storm Brendan will bring strong gale to storm force Southerly winds combined with high tides tomorrow, Monday. Do not enter onto piers, harbours and marinas unless absolutely necessary. Exercise extreme caution in and around exposed coastal areas.

STATUS ORANGE - WIND WARNING FOR LEINSTER, CAVAN, MONAGHAN, CLARE, CORK, LIMERICK, TIPPERARY AND WATERFORD

Update: As Storm Brendan tracks to the northwest of Ireland, southerly winds will reach mean speeds of 50 to 70 km/h with gusts of 100 to 120 km/h, higher in exposed areas.

There is a significant risk of coastal flooding due to the combination of high spring tides and storm surge.
