Rising Main Pipe works L2474 Glen Road Monkstown

Road Closure - L2474 Glen Road and Sand Quay, Monkstown from Monday 29th June to Sunday 30th August 2020 to facilitate the Installation of Rising Main Pipe




Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-

Road Subject of Proposed Closure

Section of L2474 Glen Road and Sand Quay, Monkstown.

Period of Proposed Closure

From 07.00hrs Monday 29th June, 2020 to 07.00hrs Sunday 30th August, 2020.

(24hr Closure)

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate the Installation of Permanent Works and Rising Main Pipe works.

Alternative Routes

Traffic on the R610 wishing to access locations west of the closed section of roadway should divert on to Castle Terrace. (L-2486-0) head in a westerly direction and rejoin the L-2474-40.

Traffic on the L-2474-40 in an easterly direction, wishing to access the R610 should turn right on to Hazeldene Court (L-2486-0) and proceed in an easterly direction to rejoin the R610.

Local access will be maintained for the duration of the closure.

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-67-2020, not later than 5pm on Thursday 4th June, 2020. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
