ROADS ACT, 1993

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS



Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-





Road Subject of Proposed Closure

The L-4705-0 from its junction with the R591 at Durrus Village to its junction with the L-47052-0 at Ballycommane, continuing on to the L-4705-25 from its junction with the L-47052-0 at Ballycommane to its junction with the L-47054-0 at Ballycommane and continuing on to the L-4705-47 from its junction with the L-47054-0 at Ballycommane to its junction with the N71 at Parkanna Bridge, Letterlicky West.





Period of Proposed Closure

From 12.00hrs to 17.00 hrs Wednesday 1st January 2020



Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate Durrus Road Trotting Races



Alternative Routes

From Durrus Village to Parkanna Bridge/Letterlicky West via the R591 north east to meet the N71 at Dromacoosane. Turn right onto the N71 and continue on the N71 (including the right turn at Ballydehob Cross) south east to Parkanna Bridge/Letterlicky West.



This alternative route is also applicable in the reverse when travelling from Parkanna Bridge/Letterlicky West to Durrus Village.



Local access to be facilitated throughout the duration of the Road Closure.



Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-208-19, not later than 5pm on Wednesday 27th November 2019. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
