ROADS ACT, 1993

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS



Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-



Road subject of Closure

R624 Ringacoltig/Rushbrooke Cobh



Period of Closure

From 06.00hrs on Monday 14th October 2019 to 20.00hrs on Monday 25th November 2019.





Reason for Closure

To facilitate the installation of a Foul and Pump sewer main as part of the Lower Harbour Sewerage Scheme



Alternative Routes

Approaching from the North turn left on to the L2993 Ballynoe then turn right on to Ballynoe Hill L-2995 continue to the T - junction and turn right on to the L-2965, at the crossroads turn right on to the Lake Road L-2971 at the next T-junction turn right on to the R624.



Approaching from the South at crossroads between High Road and Lower Road turn right on to the L2965. At the next crossroads with Lake Road, continue on straight L-2965 and turn left on to Ballynoe Hill Road L-2995. At the next T-Junction turn left on to the L-2993 continue on to the junction with the R624.



Alternative Diversion Route leaving Cobh, continue along the R624 towards Cobh turn left on to Spy Hill L-2978 then turn left on to Laundry Hill L-2965 continue along this road passing Euro Spar and Petrol Station and turn right on to Daniel O’ Halloran Place L-2995 at the T Junction turn left on to Tay Road L-2993, proceed to the R624.



Local access to be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
