Garda Alert

Garda Message Pt 1: Please adhere to Social Distancing guidelines. Garda Stations remain open but should only be attended if necessary. in Emergency dial 999



During this "Delay" pahse of the National response to the Covid 19 everyone is asked to work as a Community to reduce the impact of teh virus. Social Distancing aims, through a variety of means to decrease or interrupt the spread of Covid-19. It does this by minimizing the contact between infected and healthy individuals.
Social distancing is keeping 2m or 6 feet between you and other people. You should not shake hands or make close contact if possible. 

All public offices of Garda Stations remain open, however if you need An Garda Siochana you should consider teh following;

In an Emergency situation you should always dial 999 / 112- you should use this service if a crime or incident is happening now or if anyone is in immediate danger.

Non-emergency or general enquiries should be made by contacting your local Garda station by telephone on 051-305300 (Waterford) 051-391620 (Tramore) or 058-48600 (Dungarvan). Contact details for all Garda Stations and key offices are available on-line at www.garda.ie

 At this time, Waterford Gardaí are aware that some of our older persons or vunerable citizens may require additional help and assistance and we are ready, willing and able to assist where required. Should you or a family member need assistance please contact the numbers listed above and we will get to you as soon as possible.
An Garda Síochaná are deploying a number of new vehicles for this purpose. Gardaí will always be in a position to identify themselves using official identification. If you are in doubt please contact your local station. 

Finally, An Garda Siochana would like to advise the public to only obtain information from official sources such as the HSE.
