Limerick City and County Council wishes to advise motorists and road users that following a fatal road traffic accident on the N24 earlier today, the road remains closed and the following diversions are in place;
Traffic coming from Tipperary Town is diverting at Dromkeen, in the direction of Caherconlish and rejoining the N24 at Bearys Cross.
Traffic coming from Limerick City is diverting at the Cross of Grange, in the direction of Cappamore and rejoining the N24 at Dromkeen.
Diversion routes are clearly signposted and Emergency Vehicles and Local Traffic will be accommodated.
Limerick City and County Council regret any inconvenience caused to road users and the road will reopen the N24 as soon as direction is received from An Garda Siochana which may be late this evening.
