Proposed Road Closure R601 Timoleague/Courtmacsher




Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-

Road subject of proposed closure:

R601 from the Primary School to the Abbey; this will involve closure of the bridge between Timoleague to Courtmacsherry.

Period of proposed closure:

From 08.00hrs Monday 7th January 2019 to 18.00hrs Sunday 13th March 2019

(24hr Closure)

Reason for proposed closure:

To facilitate Installation of new Watermain and New Sewer Network

Alternative Routes:

To Courtmacsherry – Take R600 (Main Street / Mill Street) towards the L4021, past the petrol station. Continue on L-4021 past Spital Cross, through School Cross and into Lislevane on the L4018. Carry straight on the L4023 towards Wood Road, and on into Courtmacsherry.

To Timoleague – The above route is applicable in the reverse.

Parking will be restricted on either side of Mill Street and on one side of Main Street.

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-157-18, not later than 5pm on Wednesday 5th December 2018.
