ROADS ACT, 1993

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS



Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-





Roads subject of Closure:

L-5234 & L-5235 Kilcorney Cross/Knockgorm Millstreet.



Period of Closure:

From 8:00hrs Monday, 10th December 2018 to 18:00hrs Friday, 1st February 2019.

(24 Hour Closure).



Reason for Closure:

To facilitate the Rehabilitation of Watermain.



Alternative Routes:

L-5234 Closure - Travelling from Glenleigh to Rathcoole turn left onto the L-5232 at Glenleigh Cross. At Clashatrake bridge turn right on to the L-5231. At Laght turn right onto the L-1119 to Chapel Cross. Then turn left onto the L-1118 to Rathcoole.



This alternative route is also applicable in the reverse when travelling from Rathcoole to Glenleigh.



L-5235 Closure - Travelling from Kilcorney to Glenleigh continue along the L-1124 at Donoure Cross to Moll Carthy’s Bridge. There turn left onto the L-1119 and travel as far a Chapel Cross. Then turn left onto the L-5234 to Glenleigh.



This alternative route is also applicable in the reverse when travelling from Glenleigh to Kilcorney.
