ROADS ACT, 1993

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS



Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-





Road subject of proposed closure:

L-2026-0 (Part), Hill View, Bandon, (from between its junctions with O’Mahony Avenue (L-2021-31) and Church Lane South (L-2060-0).)



Period of proposed closure:

Thursday 6th December 2018 (07.00hrs – 19.00hrs)



Reason for proposed closure:

To facilitate Trial Holing Archaeological Investigation



Alternative Routes:

Traffic intending to travel south onto Hill View from O’Mahony Avenue will be diverted east along Ballymodan Place (L-2021-31) and then South Main Street (L-2021-31), take a right turn onto Market Street (R-603-0), then follow the R-603-0 onto St Patricks Place and then New Road, take a right turn on to Church Lane South (L-2060-0), then follow the road to its junction with Hill View thus rejoining the L-2026-0 on the opposite side of the road closure.

The stated route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.  





Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-145-18, not later than 5pm on Wednesday 14th November 2018.
