Notice is hereby given, in accordance with the provisions of the Roads Act 1993 of the decision of Limerick City and County Council to extend the Road Closure on the section of road detailed hereunder at the specified locations and times in order to facilitate installation of ducting at Mauricetown Windfarm due to unforeseen delays on the project.

National "SLOW DOWN" Day

Road Safety Alert

National “Slow Down” Day – An Garda Siochana Road Safety Initiative

Commencing tomorrow, Friday at 07.00 until 07.00 on Saturday the 20th of October.

The objective of this An Garda Siochana road safety initiative is to reduce the number of speed related collisions, to save lives and to reduce injuries on our roads. The aim of "SLOW DOWN" is to remind drivers of the dangers of speeding, to increase compliance with speed limits and to act as a deterrent to driving at excessive and inappropriate speed.

The operation will consist of high visibility speed enforcement activities as well as the delivery of a road safety message through the national and local media. 

Please turn on your dipped headlights to show your support and to increase the visibility of your vehicle.

ROADS ACT 1993 – NOTICE OF INTENTIONTEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE ROAD NO. N52 AT BALLINDARRA TOWNLAND & BALLYLOUGHANE TOWNLAND. (BIRR to RIVERSTOWN). This Council gives notice of its intention to close, temporarily, the following road in accordance with section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 (S.I. 197 of 1993) and the Roads Regulation 1994.THE ROAD NO. N52 AT BALLINDARRA TOWNLAND & BALLYLOUGHANE TOWNLAND. (BIRR to RIVERSTOWN). Local diversions will be in place. The road will be closed for a three-day intermittent period (or part thereof) beginning in the month of November 2018 to February 2019. The road closure is necessary to facilitate repair works to the road. N62 Roadworks between Thurles and Templemore, Co. Tipperary

Tipperary County Council are carrying out works on the N62 between Thurles and Templemore, Co. Tipperary. These works will take place between 8am and 6pm on the 18th,19th and 22nd October, 2018. Long Delays can be expected. HGVs will be diverted through Borrisoleigh along the R501 and R498.Tipperary County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused.
