Thomastown and Inistioge are likely to flood

Kilkenny County Council has been monitoring river levels throughout the day and advise as follows:

Nore levels at John’s Bridge Kilkenny are indicating that later this evening from 8pm onwards.  All businesses and homeowners should make arrangements to protect their properties.

Crews are mobilised and sandbags will be available from Thomastown Fire Station and in Inistioge from 6.30pm this evening.

Also to note is that the Circular Road, Ardaloo Road and Bleach Road are currently impassable. 01 2018
