Update: Storm Deirdre will move quickly across the country this afternoon and evening and will move through the Irish Sea early tonight. It will give some squally, damaging winds in all areas for a short period of time. In Munster and Connacht winds will peak mid to late afternoon, depending on location and in Leinster and Ulster in the early evening. West to northwest winds 55 to 65 km/h will gust 100 to 110 km/h generally, but some gusts will reach up to 130 km/h in exposed locations.

Alert message from Met Eireann:
A developing depression (Storm Deirdre) will track northeast over Ireland during Saturday afternoon and evening and will bring wet and windy weather to all areas. West or northwest winds will reach mean speeds of 65km/h with gusts of 100km/h generally, with disruptive and damaging gusts to 130km/h likely for a few hours in western and southern counties in the late afternoon and transferring eastwards during the evening.

R680 (Portlaw - N25) EXTENSION OF ROAD CLOSURE

The Road Closure on the R680 (Between Mayfield Cross Portlaw and N25 Junction) has now been extended until 20th December Inclusive. 

The road will be open to traffic on Friday 21st December. We appreciate your patience while we complete these essential works. 

Waterford City and County Council apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Burst Watermain - Cliff Road, Tramore

Burst Watermain - Cliff Road, Tramore

There will be to be Water Supply disruption today on the 12th December  in the Cliff Road Area of Tramore due to a Burst Mains. Waterford City & Co. Co. in partnership with Irish Water will work to minimise the impact of any disruption to service & will restore normal supply as soon as possible. Customers are advised to run their taps if they experience discolouration when supply is restored. Irish Water Customer Contact Centre on 1890-278-278.
