TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ROADROADS ACT 1993 – 2015(SECTION 75 OF THE ROADS ACT 1993)ROADS REGULATIONS 1994.Intention to close Road Numbers: (1)R661 between Clonoulty and Holycross, and(2) L-4123 between Bohernacrusha Crossroads and Glenreigh, Thurles, Co. TipperaryNotice is hereby given that Tipperary County Council has received an application to make an Order closing the following roads: ROADS TO BE CLOSED:(1) R661 between Clonoulty and Holycross, Thurles, Co. Tipperary. (2) L-4123 between Bohernacrusha Crossroads and Glenreigh, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.PERIOD OF CLOSURE: (1) 7th January 2019 to 20th March 2019. (2) 21st March 2019 to 04th April 2019.ALTERNATIVE ROUTES:(1)Via L1201 and R503 via Ballycahill and L4124 Holycross to Ballycahill. (2) Via R661 and L4124 Holycross to Ballycahill. REASON FOR CLOSURE:To facilitate the construction of water pipelines on behalf of Irish Water.Objections to the proposed temporary closure may be submitted in writing to the Director of Services, Roads, Transportation & Health and Safety, Tipperary County Council, Civic Offices, Limerick Road, Nenagh not later than 12 noon Thursday 6th December 2018 or by e-mail to This email address is being protected from spambots.
