Important Update re Storm Ophelia

Tipperary County Council’s Severe Weather Crisis Management Team convened again at 3.30pm to review the situation. Significant number of roads across the 5 districts are impassable and the majority of these routes will be impassable overnight. A full list of known road closures per district is available on the Council’s website and the most up to date copy is attached for your information. This will continue to be updated until 7.30pm this evening. Crew across the 5 districts are in the process of responding to road closures on priority routes during the remaining daylight hours and subject to it being safe to do so; Under no circumstances should anyone attempt to use chainsaws and approach fallen lines Members of the public can continue to contact the Council’s Customer Services Desks at Nenagh and Clonmel at 0761 06 5000 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. up to 7.30pm this evening after which calls will be transferred to the Council’s emergency services number at 1890 923 948; The Council’s Crisis Management Team will convene again at 9.30pm tomorrow morning to review situation. Road Closure updates will continue to be posted to the Council’s website and social media sites.
