Roscommon County Council & Irish Water wish to advise consumers served by the North Roscommon Regional Water Supply Scheme residing in the Frenchpark Area, that they may experience loss of water supply or reduced water pressure from 10am to 3pm on the Thursday 25th May, 2017,approximately,  due to the installation of a meter on the 6” Main on the Ballaghaderreen Bypass

Notice of Water Disruption – Knockcroghery Village 

Roscommon County Council and Irish Water wish to advise customers served by the Knockcroghery/Lecarrow Water Supply Scheme that following areas on this scheme will experience disruption to water supply today Monday 22nd May 2017 from 10.50 a.m. to 12 noon approximately due to essential repairs. 

The areas affected are as follows: 

Knockcroghery Village include including Knockcroghery National School

Roscommon County Council and Irish Water regret any inconvenience caused to customers

It has come to the attention of Irish Water and Roscommon County Council that the water supply served by Ballinlough Loughglynn public water scheme is contaminated with Cryptosporidium. On the advice of the Health Service Executive, a is being issued. Accordingly, in the interest of public health, it is recommended that all users on the Ballinlough Loughglynn water scheme boil water before use.


Water must be boiled for:
  • Drinking

  • Drinks made with water

  • Preparation of salads and similar foods, which are not cooked prior to eating

  • Brushing of teeth

  • Making of ice
Areas Affected include Ballinlough, Cloonfad, Trien, Cloonkeen, Cloonbunny, Silverfield, Cloonagh, Tonragee, Garanlahan Lowberry and all townlands surrounding these. Semi Private Group schemes served by the public water supply are also affected.
