We are currently working on  High St. There is a diversion route set up on Rowantree road and Park St.

We envisage the closure to be removed 1 week ahead of original program, and to be complete on the 7th of July.

Access willalways be available through the site for emergency response vehicles if required.
All commercial deliveries will be facilitated .

Temporary Closing of Roads

In order to facilitate the Canada Day 2017 Celebrations, Monaghan County Council in the Municipal District of Monaghan hereby gives notice to close a section of the R867 in front of the Courthouse, Monaghan on the date and time as described below:-

Date & Times:   Saturday 1st July 2017 From 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. 

Alternative Routes:
Traffic travelling east shall divert by the North Road and Glaslough Street (N54). Traffic travelling west shall divert by Old Cross Square and Macartan Road (N54)

Access to and from the Upper Courthouse Car Park will remain unaffected.

A map showing the area affected is available for inspection at the Municipal District Office, The Glen, Monaghan.
This notice complies with the Roads Act 1993 (Section 75)

Community Facilities Scheme - Deadine looming

The Communities Facilities Scheme closing date is looming, 30th June. This is a funding scheme to enhance communities, address disadvantage and improve social cohesion at a local level by providing access to small-scale capital grants.

Under the scheme community and voluntary groups may apply for a grant up to €1,000 for capital projects which benefit the local community. 

Applications should relate to at least one key target group and thematic area in order to be eligible for consideration e.g. youth, older people, immigrants, refugees, travellers, ex-prisoners, projects promoting cultural activity, equality, community development, integration and projects which are part of the Creative Ireland 2017-2022 initiative.  Projects or elements of projects of a capital nature may be funded, for example, office equipment, project resources, research facilities, energy efficiency equipment, etc.

Closing date for receipt of applications is Friday 30th June 2017 at 5pm

Temporary Closing Of Roads

Monaghan County Council gives notice to close the following road in the Municipal District of Carrickmacross-Castleblayney in County Monaghan as advertised in the Irish Independent on Thursday 1st June and Thursday 8th June 2017:

Date of Closure:             Sunday 18th June 2017 – Friday 23rd June 2017.

Road Closed:
                    
N2 Castleblayney Bypass – from the townland of Moy Otra  (Junction for Clontibret) to the townland of Tullyvin (Tullyvin Roundabout). Single lane closures will be in operation during this  period with the Northbound Lane open while works are taking place on the Southbound Lane and vice versa.

Times:                            
9.00a.m. - 6.00p.m. 

                                                                                       
To Facilitate:                     
Essential Maintenance Works: Grass cutting, Pavement Improvement works, sign/barrier repairs and gully cleaning.


Diversion Routes:          
Main Diversion via old N2 Clontibret, Castleblayney Town & other
localised diversions will be in place for the duration of the closure.

Every effort will be made to minimise delays.

Temporary Closing Of Roads
Monaghan County Council intends to close the following road in the Municipal District of Carrickmacross-Castleblayney in County Monaghan:

Date of Closure:

Road Closed:
