 Temporary Closing of Roads

Monaghan County Council gives notice to extend the following road closure in the Municipal District of Ballybay-Clones in County Monaghan:

Date of Closure: 
From Monday 24th September 2018 -Wednesday 3rd October 2018

Road Closed: R212 Scotshouse Road, Clones

Times: 8.00am to 6.00pm closure            
                                           
                               
To Facilitate: Surface Dressing of Road   

Diversion Routes:   See below.

Alternative Route 
Northbound Traffic on the R212 will be diverted onto L2220 continuing to Newbliss main street turning left to R183 through Killeevan, Annalore, Mullaghmore West to return to R212 Clones.

Southbound traffic from Clones to take left turn to Abbey Street, right turn onto Analore Street continuing on R183 to Newbliss main street. Turning right on main street to L2220 to return to R212. 


This notice complies with the Roads Act 1993 (Section 75)

Temporary Closing of Roads


Monaghan County Council gives notice to close the following road in the Municipal District of Ballybay – Clones / Carrickmacross - Castleblayney in County Monaghan:


Date & Time: -   7pm Friday 5th October to 6am Monday 8th October 2018

To Facilitate:      Bridge rehabilitation works on Boraghy Bridge B131 – MN-R-180-03.

Roads Closed: - 
R-180-003 in the townland of Boraghy/Brackly/Cooltrimegish (between Lough Egish Crossroads and Ballybay town), Co. Monaghan

Diversion Route: -
Traffic wishing to proceed onto the R-180 in the direction of Ballybay Town (between Lough Egish Crossroads and Ballybay), will be diverted on to the R-181 at Lough Egish Crossroads to Castleblayney town, then turn left on to the N2 Castleblayney By-pass slip road, then turn right on to the N2 in the direction of Monaghan town, then left off the N2 and right on to the R183 in the direction of Ballybay.

Traffic wishing to proceed onto the R-180 in the direction of Lough Egish Crossroads from Ballybay will be diverted on to the R-183 (Ballybay to Castleblayney Road), then turning left on to the N2 Castleblayney By-pass slip road, then turning left off the N2 Castleblayney By-pass, then turning right onto the R181 (Castleblayney to Lough Egish Road).

All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access and Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).

R-179 Carrickmacross to Kingscourt Road Closed

Following an incident, the Regional Road R179 from Carrickmacross to Kingscourt has been closed as a precautionary measure.  Diversions are now in place and traffic is being diverted via Kingscourt/Shercock/Carrickmacross.
