Free Child Car Seat Testing in Castleblayney

The Road Safety Authority’s Check It Fits service will visit the Glencarn Shopping Centre, Castleblayney on Monday 1st April 2019 from 10am to 5.30pm. Experts will offer advice on the different types of seats available, how to fix any problem, how to fit the restraint correctly and answer any queries you may have.

Travelling by car cay be one the most dangerous things a baby or child is likely to do each day, so parents and guardians should ensure their small passengers are as well protected as possible by having the correct child car seat installed.

No appointment is necessary and the free checks are open to all makes and models of cars and child car seats. 

Don’t let your child be a statistic, get your child car seat checked.

 Temporary Closing Of Roads

Monaghan County Council gives notice to close the following road in the Municipal 
District of Monaghan in County Monaghan:

Date of Closure:              7am Monday March 25th to 6pm Friday March 29th 2019

To Facilitate:                    completion of wearing course installation on the N2 mainline 
                                            southbound carriageway and Glennan Road

Road Closed:                     The L5207 Glennan Road will be closed for approximately 80
                                             metres where it joins the N2.
               

Diversion Routes:         
There will be no through traffic between the N2 and the L5207 Glennan Road during the closure, however the L5207 Glennan Road will remain open to local traffic only for residents and businesses along the road.

Vehicles travelling North along the N2 will no longer be able to turn right at the junction between the N2 & L5207 Glennan Road – instead vehicles will need to continue North along the N2 to Emyvale, and turn right at Centra in Emyvale onto the L1210 Glaslough Road. Continue on this road for 2.3 miles (3.7 km) to Glennan Church which is the end of the diversion.

Vehicles travelling South along the N2 will no longer be able to turn left at the junction between the N2 & L5207 Glennan Road – instead vehicles will need to turn left at Centra
in Emyvale onto the L1210 Glaslough Road. Continue on this road for 2.3 miles (3.7 km) to Glennan Church which is the end of the diversion.

This notice complies with the Roads Act 1993 (Section 75)

Temporary Closing Of Roads

Monaghan County Council gives notice to close the following road in the Municipal
District of Monaghan in County Monaghan:

Date of Closure:              7am Monday March 25th to 6pm Friday March 29th 2019

To Facilitate:                    Completion of wearing course installation on the N2 mainline 
                                            northbound carriageway and Derryhee Road.

Road Closed:                     L5170 Derryhee Road will be closed for approximately 80 metres
                                             where it joins the N2

Diversion Routes:          
There will be no through traffic between the N2 and the L5170 Derryhee Road during the closure, however the L5170 Derryhee Road will remain open to local traffic only for residents and businesses along the road.

Vehicles travelling North along the N2 will no longer be able to turn left at the junction between the N2 & L5170 Derryhee Road – instead vehicles will need to continue North along the N2 to the L1160 Davagh Etra turn-off, and turn left onto the L1160 Davagh Etra Road. Continue on this road for 1.75 miles (2.8 km) to L1155 Road. Turn left onto L1155 and proceed South along the L1155 for 1.45 miles (2.3 km) to the junction with the L5170 Derryhee Road then turn left onto the Derryhee Road, which is the end of the diversion.

Vehicles travelling South along the N2 will no longer be able to turn right at the junction between the N2 & L5170 Derryhee Road – instead vehicles will need to turn right onto the L1160 Davagh Etra Road and follow the diversion as outlined above.

This notice complies with the Roads Act 1993 (Section 75)
