Peace IV Programme Funding Call

Peace IV Programme Funding Call

Peace IV Funding Opportunity – Capital and Programme streams.

The application process for County Monaghan Peace IV grants is open from Friday 1st September to Friday 27th October. Funding of up to €30,000 is available for Capital works and up to €75,000 for Programmes.

Through the PEACE IV Programme, Monaghan County Council /Peace Partnership Board/LCDC wish to support projects that promote social inclusion, combat poverty and discrimination and make a lasting difference in building greater cohesion between communities. In particular, projects should be able to demonstrate how they will foster enhanced peace and reconciliation. PEACE IV will place a strong emphasis on promoting cross-community relations and understanding. All successful projects will be required to identify how they will contribute towards the achievement of the result indicators of the Programme in order to promote a greater level of reconciliation and understanding.

Roadworks on the N53 Castleblayney to Dundalk road from Connabury to Ardkirk  extending a distance of 7.6k over an 8 week period from Wednesday 13 September until Friday 3rd November 2017.

Traffic lights will be in operation and  delays can be expected.

Temporary Closing Of Roads
Monaghan County Council gives notice of intention to close the following road in The Municipal District of Carrickmacross-Castleblayney in County Monaghan:

R181 – 3, Main Street, Castleblayney.

Date:                     Sunday 24th September 2017 

Times:                   Day time closure - 8.00a.m.-6.00p.m.                                                          

To Facilitate:        Castleblayney Annual Fair Day.

Diversions will be in place

Any interested person may lodge an objection to the closing of the above mentioned roads with the A/Head of Roads, Monaghan County Council, MTEK II Building, Knockaconny, Monaghan not later than Tuesday 12th September 2017. Any objections must be clearly marked on envelope “Objection To Road Closure”. 

This notice complies with the Roads Act 1993 (Section 75)

Temporary Closing Of Roads
Monaghan County Council gives notice to close the following road in the Municipal District of Carrickmacross-Castleblayney in County Monaghan as previously advertised in the Irish Independent on Friday 1st September 2017 and Thursday 7th September 2017:-

Date of Closure:            
Sunday 17th September 2017 – Thursday 21st September 2017 


Road Closed:
                    
N2 Castleblayney Bypass – from the townland of Moy Otra  (Junction for Clontibret) to the townland of Tullyvin (Tullyvin Roundabout). Single lane closures will be in operation during this period with the Northbound Lane open while works are taking place on the Southbound Lane and vice versa.


Times:  7am to 7pm
                                                                                          

To Facilitate:                     
Essential Maintenance Works: Grass cutting, sign/barrier repairs and gully cleaning.


Diversion Routes:          
Main Diversion via old N2 Clontibret, Castleblayney Town & other 
localised diversions will be in place for the duration of the closure.

Every effort will be made to minimise delays.

Road Closure - N2 Tullyvin Roundabout(Night Work)

Monaghan County Council wishes to advise the public of the following road closure on the N2 National Primary route Monaghan to Carrickmacross at Tullyvin Roundabout

Between the hours of 8pm and 6am (Night Work).

Monday 4th September 2017 to  Thursday 7th September 2017

Alternative Routes -  
  • Traffic travelling south along the N2 (Monaghan to Castleblayney) to divert left at the R183 Corracloghan Junction and continue into Castleblayney and divert left onto the N53 at Annadruman South junction, then take right onto the L4300 at Tullanacounat North, back onto the N2 (Castleblayney – Carrackmacross).

  • Traffic travelling north from Carrickmacross - Castleblayney to divert at the R181-4 Shercock Junction into Castleblayney.
