Road Works N54 Monaghan Town

Monaghan County Council wishes to advise the public of Roadworks which will be in place on the N54 Monaghan Town between the Retail Park Cornacassa and the Margaret Skinnider Roundabout today Thursday 9th and Friday 10th November 2017 from 8am to 6pm. 

Stop/Go will be in operation.


Motorists are being advised to leave extra time for journeys.

Roadworks on the N53 Castleblayney to Dundalk road from Connabury to Ardkirk extending a distance of 7.6k are still ongoing until Friday 24th November 2017.

Traffic lights/Stop Go will be in operation and delays can be expected.

Monaghan County Council gives notice to close the following road in County Monaghan in order to facilitate Telecommunication Services Installation.

From:
Monday 6th November 2017 from 8am to 6pm

Road Closed:

LS-5515, Lower Mill Street, Monaghan Town, from its junction with the North Road to the end of the street at the Diamond, Monaghan.

Alternative Route:

Traffic travelling east should divert by the North Road (N54) to Glaslough Street (N54) and the R867 at the Diamond, Monaghan.

This notice complies with the Roads Act 1993 (Section 75)

Temporary Closing Of Roads

onaghan County Council intends to close the following road in County Monaghan:

Date:- Sunday 12th November 2017

Time:- 8am-2pm

To Facilitate: Removal of overhead ESB cables

Roads Closed:-
Main Street Castleblayney, R181 from Roundabout to York St. Castleblayney, Co Monaghan

Alternative Routes.

York Street to Muckno Street:- 
Traffic will be diverted right off the R938-0, York Street, onto the LT75066, Thomas Street, left onto the LT75065, Henry Street and then right onto the R181-0, Muckno Street,

Muckno Street to York Street:- 
Traffic will be diverted left off the R181, Muckno Street onto the LT 75065, Henry/Church Street, then left onto the R938-0, York Street.

Muckno Street to Monaghan Road:- 
Traffic will be diverted left off the R181, Muckno Street onto the LT 75065, Henry/Church Street, left onto the R938-0, York Street., and then right onto the N2 Castleblayney bypass.
                            

Monaghan Road to Muckno Street:- 
Traffic will be diverted right off the R181 at the Ballybay junction, onto the N2, Castleblayney bypass, left onto the R938-0, York Street, right onto Henry/Church Street, and then right onto Muckno Street onto the LT 75065

Shercock Road to Muckno Street:- 
Traffic will be diverted right off the R181 at the Shercock junction, onto the N2, Castleblayney bypass, then left onto the R938-0, York Street, right onto Henry/Church Street, and then right onto Muckno Street onto the LT 75065

Muckno Street to Shercock Road:- 
Traffic will be diverted left off the R181, Muckno Street onto the LT 75065, Henry/Church Street, left onto the R938-0, York Street., and then right onto the N2 Castleblayney bypass.

 Any interested person may lodge an objection to the closing of the above-mentioned road with the A/Head of Roads, Monaghan County Council, MTEK II Building, Knockaconny, Monaghan not later than Tuesday 7th November 2017.

Any objections must be clearly marked on envelope “Objection To Road Closure”. 

This notice complies with the Roads Act 1993 (Section 75)

Monaghan County Council wishes to notify the public that surfacing works will be carried out on the N54 from the Margaret Skinnader Roundabout to Monaghan Leisure Centre from 7pm tonight Wednesday 1st November 2017 and continuing for the next 3 nights. Delays to be expected.   Monaghan County Council apologise for any inconvenience caused.
