Temporary Closing of Roads

Monaghan County Council gives notice to close the following roads in the Municipal District of Carrickmacross-Castleblayney in County Monaghan:

Date & Time:-
  
Monday 5th March
2018 until Friday 5th October 2018 between the hours of  8am and 6pm. Each Road will be closed for a maximum of 6 weeks within the Closure Period.

To Facilitate: Road Improvement Works

Roads Closed: -
    • LP-4803-0 in the Townland of Mullaghraffety
    • LS-8701-0 in the Townland of Lisnashannagh
    • LS-8050-0 in the Townland of Tullynamalra
    • LS-8300-0 in the Townland of Edengilrevy
    • LT-38101-0 in the Townland of Kinnagin
    • LT-46032-0 in the Townland of Keenoge
    • R180-2 in the Townland of Brackly
    • R180-6 Ballybay road Roundabout in the Townland of Nafarty
    • R178-5 in the Townland of Drummond Etra
All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access and Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).

Notice of Intention to Close Roads - Monaghan Town

Temporary Closing of Roads 

In order to facilitate the St. Patricks Day Parade, Monaghan County Council in the Municipal District of Monaghan hereby gives notice of its intention to close the following roads:


Roads Closed
R867 – Church Square, Monaghan – from Rossmore Monument to Church Square
LS5515 – Lower Mill Street

From 11.30 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. on Saturday 17th March 2018

Alternative Routes
Diversions from Emyvale to Ballybay, Clones, Cootehill will be via the N2 bypass to the Dublin Road and R937 Macartan Road


Local access to the town centre and the Courthouse car park will be via Dublin Street, Macartan Road and Castle Road.

A Section of McNally’s Car Park (approximately 74 spaces) will also be closed to facilitate Murray’s Amusements during the St Patrick’s Day Festival

Maps showing the areas affected are available for inspection at the Monaghan Municipal District Office, The Glen, Monaghan 

Any interested person may lodge an objection to the closing of the above-mentioned road with the A/Head of Roads, Monaghan County Council, MTEK II Building, Knockaconny, Monaghan not later than Tuesday 27th February 2018.

Any objections must be clearly marked on envelope “Objection To Road Closure”.

This Notice complies with the Roads Act 1993 (section 75)

To Facilitate:     
The Construction of a road underpass culvert and all ancillary site                                               development works.


Roads Closed: - 
LT46033 in the townland of Drumboat, Inniskeen, Co. Monaghan

Division Route:-
Traffic wishing to proceed onto the LT-46033-0, will be diverted by remaining on the LP-4603-0 (Blackstaff Road), then turning left onto the LT-46031-0 and turn Left onto the LP4630-0.


All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access and Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).

Monaghan County Council gives notice to close the following road in the Municipal District of Monaghan in County Monaghan:

Date:               Monday 26th February 2018 from 10am–Friday 2nd March 2018 at 4pm.

Road Closed:                    
R186 Junction with the N54, Monaghan  Town.
                                                                      
To Facilitate:                     
Junction Realignment Works at the N54/R186 Junction.

Diversion Routes:          
Main Diversion via LP1600 (Whitesbridge to Heasty’s Cross). R186 Traffic 
will divert via the LP1600 to the N54 to access Monaghan Town. N54 will divert via the LP1600 to access R186. Every effort will be made to minimise delays.
