In accordance with Part XI of the Planning & Development Acts 2000-2015 and Part 8, Article 81 of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001-2015, notice is hereby given that Limerick City and County Council proposes to construct traffic calming islands, raised table tops and speed ramps at strategic locations within the town of Rathkeale, Co. Limerick.

The works to which this advertisement relates to, is the construction of traffic calming build outs, 7no. raised table tops, 2no. speed ramps, footpath works, associated ironmongery, drainage and accommodation works associated with the implementation of traffic calming works in the town of Rathkeale, Co. Limerick.

In accordance with S.I. 476 of 2011, Section 250, Planning and Development (Amendment No.3) Regulations, 2011, the Council has carried out a screening and it has been determined that an appropriate assessment is not required. Plans and particulars of the proposed works will be available for inspection, or purchase at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy, during normal office hours, Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) from the 18th September 2017 to 13th October 2017 at the Rathkeale Office of Limerick City and County Council and at the Planning and Environmental Services Department of Limerick City and County Council, Dooradoyle, Co. Limerick

Submissions or observations in relation to the proposed development, dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which works will be constructed may be made in writing to the Administrative Officer, Roads Section, Limerick City and County Council, Rathkeale Office on or before 4:30pm on the 23rd October 2017

Proposed Extinguishment of public right of way Linking High Road, Thomondgate (R445) and Canon Breen Park, Thomondgate

Notice is hereby given that Limerick City and County Council proposes to extinguish the Public Right of Way described in the Schedule hereunder.

Roads Act, 1993. Section 73

A map showing the Right of Way will be on display at Limerick City and County Council Offices in Merchant’s Quay and Dooradoyle, for a period of one month from Monday, 18th September, to Tuesday, 17th October, 2017 and may be inspected during normal opening hours.

Objections or representations in relation to the proposal should be made in writing to the Senior Staff Officer, Maintenance Services, Operations North, Limerick City and County Council Offices, Dooradoyle, Limerick, up to and including Wednesday, 1st November, 2017.

Any person making such a written objection may include in their submission a request that they be allowed to state their case at an oral hearing conducted by a person, which may be appointed for such purpose by Limerick City and County Council.
