Kilkenny County Wide Roads Update

Kilkenny County Wide Roads Update

- Tuesday 19 October 4:45 pm

1. R701 Newmarket to Kilmaganny Road @ Aghaviller

Loose boughs overhanging the R701 Newmarket to Kilmaganny Road @ Aghaviller have resulted in the closure of this section of road until the boughs can be removed. Local diversions are in place. The height of the boughs means that specialist equipment is required to remove them. We expect the boughs to be removed tomorrow afternoon with the road re-opening shortly afterwards. The decision to close the road has been taken in the interests of the safety of road users.

2. L5143 Graigue, Callan.
This road is currently closed. The overhanging trees to be addressed tomorrow 20th October.

3. L8219 in the Townland of Pollagh, Skeaghvasteen
This road is currently open. This work was not completed today so it must close again tomorrow Friday 20th October from 9:30 am to 5 pm. The road will be closed with local diversion set up from Mountloftus to Miltown on the L4204.

4. Rathpatrick - cul de sac
Work has completed at Rathpatrick and this road is now open.

Motorists are reminded that branches and debris remain on many roads.
Please continue to drive with caution.
