Water Update - Tuesday 17th Oct

Water Update - Tuesday 17th Oct

WATER UPDATE - PLEASE CONSERVE WATER 17/10/2017 - 11:15 am
Sixteen Water Treatment Plants have been affected by power outages resulting from Storm Ophelia overnight. 7 plants now have power restored with normal services resumed as follows:
  • Bennettsbridge
  • Clonassy.
  • Mullinabro
  • Callan
  • Thomastown
  • Troyswood
  • Ballyragget
Nine Water plants remain without power at present and are at risk of interruption to water supplies as follows:
  • Paulstown/Gorebridge/Gowran
  • Graiguenamanagh.
  • Glenmore
  • Clogh/Castlecomer
  • Inistioge
  • Outrath
  • Owning
  • Galmoy
  • Kilmaganny
At the affected water treatment plants water will still flow to customers as normal as it is being fed via storage from reservoirs. Loss of supply is highly likely if power is not restored today in these areas. When power is restored normal service to customers will progressively return during today as reservoirs start to fill once more.

All customers are requested to conserve water to the maximum possible extent to ensure continued supply for as long as possible.

PLEASE CONSERVE WATER.
