TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS





NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Cork County Council is considering under Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993, the closing to public traffic of the following road for the date and for the times stated:-





From Tuesday 20th June 2017 to Thursday 22nd June 2017

(09.30hrs to 17.00hrs Daily)



Road to be closed:

The L-2781 (Lee Road) from its junction with the R846 (Sunday’s Well Road) at Thomas Davis Bridge to its junction with the L-6849-0 (Morgan’s Hill) at Coolymurraghue.

Alternative Route:

From the junction of L-2781 (Lee Road) / L-6849 (Morgan’s Hill), head north-east along the L-6849 for 1.2km to Mackey’s Cross and turn right onto the L-2779 (Old Blarney Road). Head east along the Old Blarney Road for 2.7km and veer right onto the Shanakiel Road. Head along the Shanakiel Road for 0.83km and turn right onto the R846 (Sunday’s Well Road). Continue west along the R846 to meet the Lee Road at Thomas Davis Bridge.



This alternative route is also applicable in the reverse when travelling from Thomas Davis Bridge to Morgan’s Hill.



NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that this proposed closure is to facilitate Tree Felling Works.



Any person interested may lodge an objection in writing to the closing of these roads, with the undersigned not later than Wednesday 31st 2017 at 5pm.
