TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS



NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Cork County Council is considering under Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993, the closing to public traffic of the following road for the date and for the times stated:-



North, Tullylease

From 00.01hrs Monday 14th August 2017 to 24.00hrs Friday 22nd September 2017

 (24 Hour Closure)



Road to be closed:

R579 from Walsh’s Cross, Freemount to Broadford

Alternative Route:

Traffic Travelling from Kanturk to Broadford



Divert Right at Walshs Cross onto the R578 into Freemount Village. Continue along R578 to Bog Cross. Turn left at Bog Cross onto the R522 towards Dromcolliher and continue on the R522 to Dromcolliher Village. In Dromcolliher village turn left onto the R515 towards Broadford and rejoin the R579 in Broadford village.



This alternative route is also applicable in the reverse when travelling from Broadford to Kanturk.



NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that this proposed closure is to facilitate Bridge Replacement Works.



Any person interested may lodge an objection in writing to the closing of these roads, with the undersigned not later than Wednesday 28th June 2017 at 5pm.
