NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 that the following roads will be closed to public traffic for the dates and times stated:

   Castlepook Windfarm Project

Electric Cable Installation – L5532 Garrane, Ballyhea, Co. Cork

From 00.01hrs Monday 20th March to 24.00hrs Saturday 13th May 2017


Road To Be Closed:

The L-5532-0 from its junction with the L-1327-25 at Garrane Cross Roads to its junction with the L-5531-11 at Ardskeagh Cross Roads.

Alternative Route:

Traffic wishing to access road from the L1327-25 are to divert Eastwards via L-1327-25 from Garrane Cross Roads to the County Bounds, take first left and continue through Ballymacshaneboy, Co. Limerick to Ballyshonikin Cross and take left and follow the L-5531-11 from the County Bounds back to Ardskeagh Cross Roads.


The alternative route above is also applicable in the reverse.

Traffic wishing to access L1327-25 road from the L5531-11 are to divert Eastwards along L-5531-11 to Ballyshonikin Cross and take right to Ballymacshaneboy, Co. Limerick and continue onto L1327 and take right onto Garrane Cross.


Diversion route will be signposted.


This Closure is to facilitate the Installation of MV Electric Cable Infrastructure.
