Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-

L-2968-0 Lackenroe, Glounthaune, Co. Cork.

Period of Proposed Closure

From 8:00hrs Tuesday 19th March 2019 to 18:00hrs Friday 26th April 2019 (24hr Closure)

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate Rehabilitation of Water Mains and all associated assets.

Alternative Routes

Phase 1

Northbound Diversion route – Head east on the L-2969 Killahora to Forge Cross road and turn left on the L-6993 Ballycureen road. Continue straight and turn left onto the L-2966 towards Glenmore bridge, taking another left turn onto the L-6992 to get access to the temporary closed road.

Phase 2

Northbound diversion route – Head north on the L-6992 towards Glenmore Bridge. Turn left onto the L-2966 towards Glanmire. Turn left onto the L-2968 to get access to the temporary closed road.

Both the stated diversion routes are applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-17-19, not later than 5pm on Wednesday 13th February 2019.
