NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 that the following roads will be closed to public traffic for the dates and times stated:

Archaeological Investigation Works – R634 North Main Street, Youghal
From 08.00hrs Monday 16th January to 18.00hrs Friday 3rd February 2017
(24 hour Closure)


Road To Be Closed:

Part of the R634 North Main Street, Youghal from its junction with the L-3810-0 at Cork Hill to its junction with the L-9516-1 at Fairfield Car Park.

Alternative Routes:

Traffic from Tallow Street

Traffic wishing to access Youghal Town will be diverted onto the Breton Road from the roundabout at the junction of Quarry Road/Breton Road. Traffic that enters Youghal Town via Tallow Street will be diverted onto Cork Hill (L3810-0), Dermot Hurley Estate (L-9512-0), Barrack Road (L-3822) & Windmill Lane (L-3823-0) to rejoin the R634.

Traffic from Cork Hill

Traffic will be diverted north onto Tallow Street before being diverted onto Breton Road (R634) at the roundabout junction of Quarry Road and the diversion will end at Dolphin’s Square.

Traffic from North Main Street

Traffic will be diverted onto Dolphin’s Square, east along the R634 and west towards Tallow Street where access to Cork Hill can be availed of.

This closure is to facilitate Archaeological Investigation Works.
