TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADRoad Widening, Drainage and surface restoration works – L-4010-61 Dunmore Road, Clonakilty

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993, & Part 8 of Road Regulations 1994, Article 12 (sub article 6),  notice is hereby given that the urgent closure of the road as detailed below is necessary, in the interests of public safety.

Roads to be Closed:

The L-4010-61 from its junction with the L-4011-19/L-8043-25/L-4011-41 at Causeway Cross Roads to its junction with the L-8042-0 at Dunmore.

The L-4010-41 from its junction with the L-8042-0 at Dunmore to a point 800m east of said junction.


Road Numbers:

L-4010-61 and L-4010-41 (Part).

Alternative Route:

From Causeway Cross Roads to Dunmore/Muckruss Head via L-4011-19 south/south west to Caher. At Cross Roads turn left onto L-8040-0. At Cross Roads at Mountain Common turn left onto L-4010-0. Continue north east to junction at Duneen. At junction turn right onto L-4010-22 and continue straight ahead to join L-4010-41 to Dunmore/Muckruss Head.

This alternative route is also applicable in the reverse when travelling from Muckruss Head/Dunmore to Causeway Cross Roads.

Duration of closure:

From 06.00hrs Thursday 9th March 2017 to 20.00hrs Friday 7th April 2017 (24 hour closure)

Reason for urgent closure:

Road Widening, Drainage and surface restoration works

You should note that this Urgent Closure does not facilitate the making of objections/observations.
