Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-



Road Subject of Closure

L-2965-20 Lower Road, Cobh (at its Junction with the R624 Westbourne Place to Roundabout).



Period of Closure

From 06.00hrs Wednesday 18th March 2020 to 20.00hrs Wednesday 1st April 2020. (24hr Closure).



Reason for Closure

To facilitate Lower Harbour Sewerage Scheme Cobh installation of rising main & Sewer Pipes



Alternative Routes

Approaching from the East, continue along the R624 High Road taking the first left turn on to the Lower Road L-2965-20 and continue to the roundabout.



From the roundabout on the Lower Road L-2965-20 drive West until the Crossroads with the R624, turn right on to the High Road R-624 continue on to Westbourne Place.



Local access to be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following roads for the period and reason specified below:-



Roads Subject of Proposed Closure

R587-167 & R587-152 from Wood Cross Roads to Inchicuhan Cross Roads in the townland of Ardcahan Dunmanway.



Period of Proposed Closure

From 08.00hrs on Tuesday 31st March, 2020 to 20.00hrs on Saturday 4th April, 2020

(24hr closure)



Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate Underground Grid Connection Cable Ducting Works



Alternative Routes

From the Wood Cross Roads junction - keep north along the R587 until Shanlaragh junction. At the Shanlaragh junction keep left onto R585- 197 until Glan junction. At Glan keep right onto R585 until Coppeen Village and turn right onto the R588 until Enniskeane Village and turn right on the R586 for Dunmanway town. In Dunmanway, turn right onto the R587 until Ardcahan Bridge.

From Inchicuhan Cross Roads the above stated diversion is applicable in reverse.




Local access will be maintained for residents along the route.



Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-34-2020, not later than 5pm on Wednesday 4th March, 2020. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

To facilitate Installation of Permanent Works and Rising Main Pipe work



Alternative Routes

Traffic on the R610 wishing to access locations west of the closed section of roadway should divert on to Castle Tce. (L-2486-0) head in a westerly direction and rejoin the L-2474-40.



Traffic on the L-2474-40 in an easterly direction, wishing to access the R610 should turn right on to Hazeldene Court (L-2486-0) and proceed in an easterly direction to rejoin the R610.



Local access will be maintained for the duration of the closure



Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-31-2020, not later than 5pm on Wednesday 28th February, 2020. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

Diversion will be via L5529-16 north from Aglish Cross to Argnageehy Cross, turn right onto L1307-39 at this junction and continue along the L1324-0 until the Lidl Depot Cross and the N20. Turn right onto N20 and continue to Ballyhea village. End of diversion.



Traffic approaching from N20 are to continue onto Ballyhea Cross and follow diversions along L1324 until junction with L5529-16. Then take a left and continue to junction with L5530. End of diversion.



Local access is to be given to residents and businesses along this road closure.
