Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-

L-3405-60 (Part) Ballymakeera - from its junction with N22 to its junction with the L- 7430 Gortanacra Cross



Period of Proposed Closure

From 07:30hrs Monday 20th July, 2020 to 18:00hrs Sunday 30th August, 2020

(24hr Closure)



Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate the Installation of Ballymakeera WWTP Foul Rising Main Pipe Works



Alternative Routes

Approaching from the East - at the junction of the L3405-60 in Ballymakeera and the N22 continue along the N22. At its intersection with L3400-79 (N22, L-3400) Coolea Road turn left and continue to the junction L-3405-0 at Murnaghbeg Cross. Turn left onto the L-3405-0 and continue south to Rath West cross junction of the L-3406 and L-3405-40.



Approaching from the West - at the junction of the L3405-60 in Ballymakeera and the N22, continue along the N22. At its intersection with L-3402-123, turn right at the Lynch’s Cross Roads (Half-way junction). Continue west on the L-3402 to the junction L-3406-0 Reananerree School Cross, turn right. Continue northwest on the L-3406-0 to Rath West cross junction of the L-3406 and L-3405-40.



This alternative route is also applicable when travelling in the reverse.



Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-87-2020, not later than 5pm on Tuesday 30th June, 2020. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

R880 (Part) Pearse Street, Clonakilty - from its junction with the L-4040-1 at Edward Twomey Street to its junction with the L-4039-0 at Rossa Street.



L-4031-0, McCurtain Hill will be one way travelling north from Pearse St Junction to Garda Station.

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-

L-2014-23 (Part), Knockmacool/Kilcolmanpark, Enniskean (from its junction at Kilcolman 3 Roads East to its junction with L-20142-0)



Period of Closure

From 08:00hrs Tuesday 7th July 2020 to 12:00hrs Tuesday 28th July 2020.

(24 Hour Closure).



Reason for Closure

To facilitate Bridge Replacement Works



Alternative Routes

Traffic intending to access the L-2014-23 at Kilcolman 3 Roads East, will be diverted south along the L-2017-0 and turn right at Pike Cross Roads onto L-6030-0 passing Kilcolman School. Turn right at Aghown Cross Roads onto L-2015-23 and then follow onto L-2015-0 and turn right at Farran Cross Roads onto L-2014-23. Follow the road as approaching the closed road from the opposite side.



The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse.



Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.

To facilitate road works



Alternative Routes

Traffic travelling from Ballydesmond to Newmarket divert left at Glash Bridge onto the L-1012 signposted Abbeyfeale. Continue on the L-1012/L-1003 to Tado’s Cross. At Tado’s Cross turn right onto the R576 signposted Rockchapel. Continue on R576 through Rockchapel village and past Coolagh Bridge to Newmarket.



The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction by continuing at Coolagh Bridge on R576 towards Rockchapel.



Limited Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.



Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC 92-2020, not later than 5pm on Tuesday 30th June 2020. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

Traffic travelling from Newmarket towards Ballydesmond (R578) - at Glash Bridge turn left onto L-1035 signposted Boherbue. Continue on L-1035 to Keenahulla Cross and turn right onto the L-1036 signposted Kiskeam. Continue on the L-1036 to Horgan’s Cross and turn right onto the R577 signposted Kiskeam. Continue on the R577 through Kiskeam Village and onto Ballydesmond.



The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.



Limited Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
