Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993, & Part 8 of Road Regulations 1994, Article 12 (sub article 6),  notice is hereby given that the urgent closure of the road as detailed below is necessary, in the interests of public safety.



Road to be closed:

R611 Cork Road, Carrigaline

Alternative Routes:

Traffic wishing to access locations South of the proposed road closure should divert onto the R-612-4 (Bypass Road), proceed in a Southerly Direction and turn right onto the R-613-19 (Church Road) proceed to the roundabout and take the third exit to rejoin the Cork Road south of the closed section of Roadway.



Traffic wishing to access locations North of the closed section should proceed to the junction of the R-611 (Cork Road) and R-613-51(Ballea Road Roundabout) they should then travel in an Easterly Direction and turn left onto the R-612-4 (Bypass Road) to rejoin the Cork Road North of the closed section of roadway.



Duration of closure:

Sunday 5th November to Sunday 12th November 2017 (Nightly Closure from 19.00hrs to 07.00hrs)



Reason for urgent closure:

Extension to Existing Road Closure for Construction of Foul Gravity Sewer



 You should note that this Urgent Closure does not facilitate the making of objections/observations.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Cork County Council is considering under Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993, the closing to public traffic of the following road for the dates and for the times stated:-

    

Irish Rail Track Renewal – N72 Killarney Road at N20 Roundabout Mallow

From 20.00hrs Friday 1st December to 11.30hrs Sunday 3rd December 2017

(24 Hour Closure)



Road to be closed:

Mallow - Killarney Road at UBC339, Mallow Town, Adjacent to Annabella Roundabout & "The Roundabout Inn", with Residential access maintained up to Kennel Hill on the Westbound approach. Pedestrian Route to be made available under Supervision, during works.



Road Number:

N72 - only will be closed within the area of UBC339 and Kennel Hill, with a Stop /Go  shuttle System operational on Kennel Hill to provide residential Access.



Alternative Routes:

Traffic Travelling From Limerick & Fermoy to Killarney will be directed via the R619 & R621 Coachford Rd to rejoin the N72 Westbound

Traffic Travelling From Cork to Killarney will be Directed via the R638 & R619 back onto the N72 Westbound.

All traffic travelling from Killarney will be directed via the R621 and R619 Eastbound, with Cork and Limerick/Fermoy traffic being directed onto the N20 North/South at the Blackwater Bridge Junction.



NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that this proposed closure is to facilitate

Irish Rail Track Renewal



Any person interested may lodge an objection in writing to the closing of this road, with the undersigned not later than Wednesday 8th November 2017 at 5pm.

Erection of New Pedestrian Footbridge – L-2050-0 McSwiney Quay, Bandon

From 08.00hrs Monday 20th November to 18.00hrs Friday 1st December 2017

(24 Hour Closure)



Road to be closed:

Part of the L-2050-0 McSwiney Quay from its junction with the R586 at St Finbarr Place to its junction with Weir Street.

Alternative Routes:

Traffic leaving Riverview Shopping Centre will turn right onto Weir Street and then left on to the L2021-31 at South Main Street and continue onto the R603 along Pearse Street and then left rejoining the R586 via St Finbarr Place & Bridge Place.



Traffic coming over Bandon Bridge or Glasslynn Road will travel southbound on to the R603 at St Finbarr Place, continue westbound along the L-2057-0 Saint Patrick’s Quay,  turn right on to R603 at Market Street, turn left on to the L-2021-31 at South Main Street, turn right onto Weir Street when then rejoining the L-2050-0 before the Riverview Shopping Centre junction.



NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that this proposed closure is to facilitate

Erection of New Pedestrian Footbridge
