NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 that the following roads will be closed to public traffic for the dates and times stated:





Laying of Foul Sewer – R613 Church Road, Carrigaline

From 20.00hrs Monday 17th July 2017 to 06.30hrs Friday 1st September 2017

(Night Time Closure Only 20.00hrs to 06.30hrs -Road fully opened to traffic outside of these hours)

Section of Church Road, Carrigaline

Alternative Routes:

Traffic travelling in a Westerly Direction along R-613 should divert onto R-612 at its junction with the R-613, travel in a northerly direction along the bypass road and turn left onto R-611 (Cork Road). They should proceed in southerly direction until they reach the roundabout junction of the R-611/R-613. They should take the third exit at this roundabout to rejoin the R-613.



Traffic approaching the closed section of roadway from the west on the R-613 and travelling in an easterly direction should take the first exit on the roundabout, proceed in a northerly direction on the R-611 until they reach the roundabout, they should then take the third exit onto the R-612 (Bypass Road) and proceed in an easterly and then southerly direction to rejoin the R-613 at the junction of the R612/ R613.



This closure is to facilitate Laying of Foul Sewer.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 that the following roads will be closed to public traffic for the dates and times stated:



Laying of Foul Sewer – R612 Bother Guidel Road, Carrigaline

From 20.00hrs Monday 10th July 2017 to 06.30hrs Friday 21st July 2017

(Night Time Closure Only 20.00hrs to 06.30hrs -Road fully opened to traffic outside of these hours)



Road to be closed:

Section of Bothar Guidel (R612) from junction of R612 and R613 Crossroads to Roundabout at Lidl (R612)

Alternative Route:

Traffic intending to travel North on R612 from Crosshaven should follow diversion signage and take second exit off the roundabout (Lidl Roundabout) and continue to the junction of the L2547 and Main Street, Carrigaline. They should turn right onto Main Street and proceed in a northerly direction to rejoin the Cork Road.



Traffic intending to travel South to Crosshaven on R612 should turn right at the junction of the R612 and divert westwards along the R613 (Church Road) they should exit at the roundabout onto main street (R611) and follow the diversion signs to rejoin the R612 South of the proposed closed section.



Traffic travelling along the R613 in either a Westerly or Easterly direction, intending to travel in the Crosshaven direction should proceed to the Roundabout (junction of the R613/ R611) and divert onto Main Street (R611) cross over the bridge and turn left towards the R612 (Crosshaven Road).



This closure is to facilitate Laying of Foul Sewer.

From 08.00hrs Monday 3rd July 2017 to 18.00hrs Friday 28th July 2017

(24 Hour Closure)



Roads to be closed:

Part of the L-2028-0 St Bridget’s Terrace from its junction with the N71-1013 to its junction with L-6162-1 at   Birch Vale estate.

Alternative Route:

Traffic intending to enter St Bridget’s Terrace from the N71 Bypass side, will be diverted north from its junction with N71-1013,  then left on to the N71-1001 Clonakilty Road, then left on to L-2027-0 towards Clancool Terrace,  then left on to L-2028-0 at Clancool Terrace, then following on as rejoining St Bridget’s Terrace.



The diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.





This closure is to facilitate Bandon Flood Relief Scheme Works.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Cork County Council is considering under Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993, the closing to public traffic of the following road for the date and for the times stated:-



, Crossbarry to Halfway

From 00.01hrs Tuesday 8th August 2017 to 24.00hrs Friday 22nd September 2017

 (24 Hour Closure)



Road to be closed

R589(Part) at Coolatooder Bridge



Road Numbers:

R589-102(Part) & R589-132(Part)



Alternative Routes:

Traffic intending travel from Halfway to Crossbarry via the R589  will be diverted left over the bridge via R589-132 , then taking the 3rd exit at Halfway Roundabout on the N71-1087 west bound, continuing on to N71-1066, then on N71-1060 through Inishannon Village, continue on N71-1027, and then N71-1024 at Bandon, follow on straight ahead at Bandon Relief Road Roundabout on to R586-0 Glasslynn Road,  turn right at St Finbarr’s Place, follow the road around the corner , then turn right on to R589-0 at Kilbrogan Hill, follow the road through, R589-18, R589-43, R589-76 to Crossbarry Village and R589-102 to Killeady as required.



This alternative route is also applicable in the reverse when travelling from Killeady & Crossbarry to Halfway.



NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that this proposed closure is to facilitate Bridge Replacement Works.



Any person interested may lodge an objection in writing to the closing of these roads, with the undersigned not later than Wednesday 28th June 2017 at 5pm.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Cork County Council is considering under Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993, the closing to public traffic of the following road for the dates and for the times stated:-





Sunday 30th July 2017

(07.00hrs to 18.30hrs)



Roads to be closed:

The R605 from its junction with the N71 at Innishannon to its junction with the L-3211-0 Ballyvrin Road at Ballythomas West (traffic lights at Eli Lilly, Dunderrow). The junction of the L-3211 and the R605 shall remain open for Kinsale bound traffic.

The L-3236-0 from its junction with the N71 at Innishannon to its junction with the R605 at Rathnaruogy.

Local Access on the R605 will be maintained as far as the beginning of the hill climb at Shippool.

Alternative Routes:

From Innishannon to Kinsale: Continue on the N71 to the Halfway Roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto the R607 and continue on straight to Kinsale.

From Innishannon to Dunderrow: Turn right off the N71 onto the L-3201 at Barna and turn right onto the L-3211 at Ballynamona Cross Roads.

From Dunderrow to Innishannon: Turn right onto the L-3211 at Ballythomas road closure, turn left onto the L-3201 at Ballynamona Cross Roads, continue straight on the L-3201 to the N71 via Skeugh Cross; or turn left onto the L-3200 at Black Cross.



NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that this proposed closure is to facilitate Motorcycle Hillclimb.



Any person interested may lodge an objection in writing to the closing of this road, with the undersigned not later than Wednesday 28th June 2017 at 5pm.
