TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Cork County Council is considering under Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993, the closing to public traffic of the following roads for the dates and for the times stated:-
Cork 20 International Rally 2017
Saturday 30th September and Sunday 1st October 2017
Stages 1 & 3: Cobblers Cross
Saturday 30th September 2017 (08:44hrs to 14.16hrs)
Roads to be Closed: From the junction of the L-2001 with L-6011 Clodgh (Crookstown) to the junction of the R587 with L8522 at Athnastone Cross roads (Coolaclevane, Kilmichael ) via Clodgh, Currabeha, Curraclogh, Knocknaneirk, Knockboy, Lackareagh, Barnadivane, Garraneragh, Moneygaff East, Slieveowen, Shanachashel, Knockanreagh, Coolaclevane,
Road Numbers: L-6011, L-6010, L-6009, L-8517, L-8523, L-8524, L-8522
From L-2001 turn right on to the R590, in Crookstown Village turn right onto R585 continue west as far as Glan Junction via Bealnablath and Coppeen Village at Glan Junction turn left on to R587 and continue north to Athnastone Cross roads (Coolaclevane, Kilmichael )
This alternative route is also applicable in the reverse when travelling from Athnastone Cross roads to Clodgh, Crookstown.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that this proposed closure is to facilitate Cork 20 International Rally 2017
In addition, it is proposed to close all adjoining public roads for a distance of 200 metres from the junctions with the roads listed above.
Any person interested may lodge an objection in writing to the closing of these roads, with the undersigned not later than Tuesday 29th August 2017.
