NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Cork County Council is considering under Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993, the closing to public traffic of the following roads for the dates and for the times stated:-

Saturday 12th August 2017 to Sunday 13th August 2017

Road to be Closed: Barrack Street and Part of Main Street
Road Number: L-4750-0 and L-4749-0
Alternative Route: From N-71 to Chapel Street, travel via the N-71, onto New Street L-4754-0, then Bridge Street L-4754-0. From Chapel Street to Glengarriff Road N-71; travel Market Street L-4751-0, then Church Road L-4749-0 and then L-4711-0 and back on to N-71
Saturday 12th August 2017 (9.30pm to 11.30pm)
Road to be Closed: William Street
Road Number: L-4753-0
Alternative Route: Cars only: from Chapel Street, on to Scart Road L-4715-0, then Blackrock Road L-4730-0, Tower Street L-4729-0 and then onto the N-71.
Trucks / Buses: from junction with Hospital Cross- Hospital Road L-4716, L-4731-0, L-4714-0, then Scart Road and Ropewalk L-4715-0 on to the N-71.
Sunday 13th August 2017 (3:30pm to 6:00pm)
Road to be Closed: New Street
Road Number: L-4754-0
Alternative Route: From Wolfe Tone Square to Chapel Street via the N-71 Marino Street, L-4750-0 Barrack Street, L-4749-0 Main Street and L-4754-0 Bridge Street
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that this proposed closure is to facilitate
Bantry Regatta & Bar-B-Que Festival 2017.
Any person interested may lodge an objection in writing to the closing of these roads, with the undersigned not later than Wednesday 19th July 2017 at 5pm.
