N25 Killeagh - Temporary Road Closer

The L3806 Local Road will be closed forn the junction of the N25 National Primary Road at the Old Thatch Public House to the junction of the L3806 and the L7905 from Tuesday 06.06.2017 @ 10:00 to Monday 19.06.2017 @ 18:00 to faciliate roadworks.

Alternative Routes:

The main diversion route shall be along the L3807, L7841 and L7843 before rejoining the N25 National Primary Route.                   

Traffic travelling from Mount Uniacke to Killeagh to access the N25 will be diverted at Mount Uniacke onto the L3807 as far as its junction with the L3843 which continues south onto the L7843 and onto its junction with the N25 a Burgess..

Local Traffic between Killeagh Village and Mount Uniacke on the L3806 trying to access the N25 will be diverted onto the L7841 where they will proceed to its junction with the L7843 from where they will turn right to access the N25 at Burgess.

East and west bound traffic on the N25 wishing to access the L3806 will be diverted at Burgess Cross onto the L7843 from where they will be directed to Mount Uniacke via the L3843 and L3807 or to the L3806 via the L7841.

The diverted route will be sign posted and emergency access will be maintained.

Alternative Route:

Traffic wishing to access Diamond Road (L-2484-0) and Scotchmans Road (L-2483-0) should divert Westwards from the R610 on to the Glen road (L2474-40) and turn right onto either Diamond Road or Scotchmans Road at the junction with the relevant roadway.



NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that this proposed closure is to facilitate ESB Ducting Works.



Any person interested may lodge an objection in writing to the closing of these roads, with the undersigned not later than Wednesday 31st 2017 at 5pm.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Cork County Council is considering under Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993, the closing to public traffic of the following road for the date and for the times stated:-





From Tuesday 20th June 2017 to Thursday 22nd June 2017

(09.30hrs to 17.00hrs Daily)



Road to be closed:

The L-2781 (Lee Road) from its junction with the R846 (Sunday’s Well Road) at Thomas Davis Bridge to its junction with the L-6849-0 (Morgan’s Hill) at Coolymurraghue.

Alternative Route:

From the junction of L-2781 (Lee Road) / L-6849 (Morgan’s Hill), head north-east along the L-6849 for 1.2km to Mackey’s Cross and turn right onto the L-2779 (Old Blarney Road). Head east along the Old Blarney Road for 2.7km and veer right onto the Shanakiel Road. Head along the Shanakiel Road for 0.83km and turn right onto the R846 (Sunday’s Well Road). Continue west along the R846 to meet the Lee Road at Thomas Davis Bridge.



This alternative route is also applicable in the reverse when travelling from Thomas Davis Bridge to Morgan’s Hill.



NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that this proposed closure is to facilitate Tree Felling Works.

Traffic heading Northbound on R610 should continue on to Roundabout and take the third exit onto St. Marys Terrace and turn right onto Assumption Villas.



Traffic heading Southbound on the R610 wishing to access Assumption Villas should take the first exit off the roundabout and proceed via St. Marys Terrace onto Assumption Villas.

Section of R618 from Coachford to Glashagarriff Bridge

R-618.



Alternative Route:

Eastbound traffic: At Glashagarriff Bridge, follow the L-2755-0 to Rockgrove, follow the L-6774-0 east to Peake, follow the L-2753-68 as far as the R-619.  Follow the R-619 south to Coachford.



This route also applies in reverse for westbound traffic.
