Pursuant to the provisions of Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act, 1994, Cork County Council hereby gives notice of its intention to install traffic calming measures along the L2028 at Clancool Terrace, Bandon.

 Drawings and particulars indicating the proposals are available for inspection at Cork County Council, Municipal District Engineering Office, Railway Place, Bandon, Co. Cork during normal office hours from 25th September to 27th October 2017 inclusive.

Submissions regarding the proposal may be made in writing to the above office on or before 5 pm on 27th October 2017. 09 2017

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 that the following roads will be closed to public traffic for the dates and times stated:





Road Resurfacing Works – L1516-33 Kenny’s Cross to Coole Lower, Fermoy

From Monday 9th October to Friday 13th October 2017

 (24 Hour Closure)



Road to be closed:

Section of L1516-33, East of Kenny’s Cross to Coole Lower, Fermoy

Alternative Routes:

Traffic travelling East towards Conna from the Fermoy direction will be diverted South via Castlelyons and Bridesbridge via the L-1518/L1519 to the R628 at O’ Leary’s Cross and eastwards to Conna.



Traffic travelling west from Conna will be diverted onto the L1537 at Coole via Coulagown village to its intersection with the N72 and westwards to Pearse Square, Fermoy.





This closure is to facilitate Road Resurfacing Works.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Cork County Council is considering under Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993, the closing to public traffic of the following road for the dates and for the times stated:-



Construction of Foul Gravity Sewer – R-611 Carrigaline

From Friday 27th October to Sunday 5th November 2017

(19.00hrs to 07.00hrs Nightly Closure)



Road to be closed:

R611 Cork Road, Carrigaline

Alternative Routes:

Traffic wishing to access locations South of the proposed road closure should divert onto the R-612-4 (Bypass Road), proceed in a Southerly Direction and turn right onto the R-613-19 (Church Road) proceed to the roundabout and take the third exit to rejoin the Cork Road south of the closed section of Roadway.



Traffic wishing to access locations North of the closed section should proceed to the junction of the R-611 (Cork Road) and R-613-51(Ballea Road Roundabout) they should then travel in an Easterly Direction and turn left onto the R-612-4 (Bypass Road) to rejoin the Cork Road North of the closed section of roadway.



NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that this proposed closure is to facilitate Construction of Foul Gravity Sewer.



Any person interested may lodge an objection in writing to the closing of this road, with the undersigned not later than Wednesday 27th September 2017 at 5pm.

From Monday 2nd October 2017 to Monday 9th October 2017

 (19.00 hrs to 07.00 hrs Nightly Closure)

R612-4 Bypass Road, Carrigaline

Alternative Routes:

Traffic wishing to access the Cork Road (R611) from East of the proposed closed section   should proceed in a Southerly Direction along the R-612-6 (Bypass Road) and turn right on to the R-613-19 (Church Road) they should proceed in a Westerly Direction and take the third exit onto the R-611 (Cork Road)



Traffic travelling in an easterly direction wishing to access locations East of the works should divert on to the R-611 (Cork Road), proceed in a Southerly direction and take the first exit onto the R-613-19 (Church Road) they should then proceed to the traffic lights and turn on to R-612-6 (Bypass Road) or R-612-9 (Bothar Guidel) depending on their destination



NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that this proposed closure is to facilitate Construction of Foul Gravity Sewer

The L6848 from its junction with the L6849 to its junction with the L2779.

Alternative route:

From the Lee Road continue travelling north east along the L6849 until you meet the L2779 where you will turn left which will bring you back past the L6848



This alternative route is also applicable in the reverse when travelling from Tower to the Lee Road.

Construction of Cattle Underpass – L-4421-0 and L4421-18 Cloghane Beg, Skibbereen

From Monday 16th October to Friday 20th October 2017

(24 Hour Closure)



Roads to be closed:

The L-4421-0 and L-4421-18: from Sleaveen Cross to Lissangle Cross



Road Numbers:

L-4421-0 and L-4421-18



Alternative Route:

Going north along the L-4211-0 (Marsh Road) turn right at Ballyhilty Cross onto the L-4212-0. Once over the Ballyhilty Bridge turn left onto the L-4213-0 and proceed to the R593 (Bunalunn -Drimoleague Road). Turn left onto the R593. Proceed north towards Robin’s Cross. Turn left at Robin’s Cross onto the R594 (Madore Road/Bantry Road). Proceed north along the R594 until the junction with the L-4421-0 (Coarliss Cross). Turn left at onto the L-4421-0.



Going south: continue south along the R594 to Robin’s Bridge (Derreeny). Turn right towards Derreeny Bridge and proceed southwards along the R593 to Bunalunn. Turn right onto the L-4213-0 towards Ballyhilty Bridge. Turn right at the junction with the L-4212-0 (near Ballyhilty Waterworks). Once over the bridge, turn right onto the L-4421-19 and proceed north to the junction with the L-4421-18 (Sleaveen Cross Roads).



NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that this proposed closure is to facilitate Construction of Cattle Underpass
