TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS



Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-





Road subject of Closure

L-4041-0 Kent Street and Kent Street Car Park, Clonakilty



Period of Closure

From 08.00hrs Monday 29th April 2019 to 18.00hrs Thursday 31st October 2019 (24 Hour Closure)



Reason for Closure

To facilitate Installation of Clonakilty Flood Defence Scheme and Ancillary Works



Alternative Routes

Traffic travelling on Connolly Street will divert via Rossa Street, Pearse Street, Bridge Street /Edward Twomey Street.

Traffic travelling on Bridge Street/Edward Twomey Street will divert via O’Rahilly Street, Lamb Street Lower and Connolly Street.

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS



Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following roads for the period and reason specified below:-





Roads Subject of Closure

L3809-0 & L3627-0 from Mogeely to N25 at Two Mile Inn.



Period of Closure

From 08:00hrs Wednesday 1st May 2019 to 18:00hrs Friday 21st June 2019

(24 Hour Closure)



Reason for Closure

To facilitate Installation of a Ductile Iron Pipe



Alternative Routes

At Mogeely take the L-3805-44 south to Castlemartyr, continue on the N25 westbound to the

Two Mile Inn at Churchtown.

This alternative route is also applicable in the reverse direction.



Local access will be maintained for property owners on the closed road.

R623 Little Island Road Closure

R623 Little Island Road Closure

To advance the works at the Little Island Interchange, the overbridge (R623 Regional Road), the N25 eastbound off-ramp and the N25 eastbound on-ramp will be closed to vehicles over the Easter period from 8:00pm Thursday 18th April 2019 to 6:00am Tuesday 23rd April 2019. Access will be maintained for pedestrians and emergency vehicles across the bridge. Diversions will be in place for all other vehicles.

R623 on the bridge of the Little Island Interchange

Reason for Closure
To facilitate the completion of the Little Island Interchange Traffic Capacity Improvement Scheme.

Alternative Routes


The Crompán roundabout will remain open and pedestrian access over the bridge will be maintained during the works.

·         Traffic wishing to enter Little Island while traveling east on either the N25 or Glounthane Rd, will be diverted via the Cobh Cross Interchange.

·         Traffic exiting Little Island and wishing to travel east will be diverted via Dunkettle Interchange.

·         Traffic exiting Little Island and wishing to travel west on the Glounthane Rd will be diverted to Dunkettle Interchange. “ 04 2019
