From Coady’s Cross Roads to 3 Cross Roads Southeast of Aughnabroga Bridge



Period of Closure

From 08:00hrs Thursday 4th July 2019 to 17:00hrs Friday 5th July 2019.

(24 Hours Closure)



Reason for Closure

To facilitate the Installation of a Cattle Underpass.



Alternative Routes

From L-7602-0 at Coady’s Cross Roads to L-3601-29 at Peafield Cross Roads to L-7603-0 onwards. This alternative route is also applicable in reverse.



Local access to be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following roads for the period and reason specified below:-

R522-284, R522-300, R522-318(Part), Turnpike Cross-Clogher Cross

L5558-0 Carker Pike Cross-Ballynamona Cross Doneraile.



Period of Proposed Closure

From 08:00hrs Monday 8th July 2019 to Friday 13th September 2019.

(24 Hour Closure)



Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate the Rehabilitation of Watermains and all Associated Assets.



Alternative Routes

Closure for R522:

Traffic approaching the R522 on N73 from north are to continue on N73 and take right onto L1332 at Skenakilla Cross and continue into Doneraile town and take right at junction with R581 and continue to end of Diversion at Turnpike Cross junction.



Traffic approaching the R522 on N73 from south are to take left onto L1332 at Skenakilla Cross and continue into Doneraile town and take right at junction with R581 and continue to end of diversion at Turnpike Cross junction.



Closure for L5558:

Traffic approaching on N73 (south) are to continue to junction with R522 and take left and proceed until meet junction with L5558. End of diversion



Diversion route will be signposted and Variable Message Signs (VMS) will be in use.



Local access to be maintained for all affected properties along closed section.



Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-102-19, not later than 5pm on Tuesday 18th June 2019. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

Road subject of Closure

Glen Road Monkstown L2474-40 from the junction of Fairy Hill to the junction of Hazeldene Court.



Period of Closure

Saturday 22nd June 2019 & Saturday 29th June 2019 (07:00hrs-18:00hrs Daily Closures).



Reason for Closure

To facilitate Site Investigation Works to determine location of Underground Services.



Alternative Routes

Traffic on the R610 wishing to access locations west of the closed section of roadway should divert on to Castle Terrace. (L-2486-0) head in a westerly direction and rejoin the L-2474-40.



Traffic travelling on the L-2474-40 in an easterly direction, wishing to access the R610 should turn right on to Hazeldene Court (L-2486-0) and proceed in an easterly direction to rejoin the R610.



Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.

From 08.00hrs Monday 24th June 2019 to 19.00hrs Friday 28th June 2019

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate the Construction of a Cattle Underpass and Effluent Holding Tank



Alternative Routes

The L2206-0 at Coolmucky will be closed.



Diversion route will be along the L2216-0 to Cloughduv. Then turn right onto the L2205-0 from Cloghduv and on to Ryecourt and follow the L2205, turning right onto the N22 to its junction with the L2206-0.



Similarly travel along the N22 towards Farnanes, turning left onto the L2205-0 towards Ryecourt and then on to Cloghduv. At Cloghduv turn left onto the L2216-0 towards Coolmucky to its junction with the L2206-0.



Local access will be maintained.

R626 from 3 Cross Roads near Ballyedmond Bridge, Midleton to Ballinterry Cross roads, Rathcormac.



Period of Proposed Closure

From Monday 1st July 2019 to Friday 5th July 2019

(08:30hrs to 17:00hrs Daily)



Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate Road Maintenance Works.



Alternative Routes

Travelling from Midleton divert off   the R-626 at its junction with the LP3601 at Ballyedmond Hill, detour via the LP3601 Castlelyons Road to Two Pot Cross and forward to the R628 to Ballinterry Cross roads, Rathcormac.



This alternative route is also applicable in reverse.



Local access maybe accommodated when works allow. The works are weather dependant and will be carried out over a numbers of days during the Temporary Road Closure period and at other times the road will remain open.



Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-101-19, not later than 5pm on Tuesday 18th June 2019. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
