TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS



Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-



Road Subject of Closure

L-6988 Butlerstown Great, Glanmire, Co. Cork.



Period of Closure

From 8:00hrs Monday 09th September 2019 to 17:00hrs Friday 13th September 2019.



Reason for Closure

To facilitate the Construction of a Cattle Underpass



Alternative Routes

Northbound Diversion Route on the L-6988

Motorists wanting to travel North on the L-6988 will now be directed East on the L-2966 before shortly taking a left turn onto the L-2964. This road will lead vehicles through Knockraha village. After travelling through Knockraha village, motorists will again be directed left onto the L-2972 before taking a left turn onto the L-6988. Motorists will now have reached the opposite side of the temporary road closure.



Southbound Diversion Route on the L-6988

Motorists wanting to travel South on the L-6988 will now be directed East on the L-2972. Motorists will then be directed to turn right onto the L-2964 and continue through Knockraha towards Glanmire. Motorists will then make a right turn on the L-2966 before reaching the Brooklodge Roundabout. Motorists shall take the second exit which will lead them back onto the temporary road closure, the L-6988.



Local access must be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS



Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following roads for the period and reason specified below:-



Roads Subject of Closure

R907 (part of) Main Street from its junction with the L9403-1 Hospital Road Junction with the L3621-0 Broderick Street, Midleton.

The R627 (part of) Connolly Street from its junction with the R907 Main Street to its junction with Dickinson’s Lane, Midleton.



Period of Closure

From 06.00hrs to 20.00hrs Sunday 8th September 2019.



Reason for Closure

To facilitate FEAST (formerly Midleton Food & Drink Festival).



Alternative Routes:

Traffic travelling south along R626 take the L3288-0 and L3822-1 Northern Relief Road and onto N25.



Traffic travelling north along R630 take the N25 and onto the L3288-0 and L3822-1 Northern Relief Road.



Traffic Travelling north through Midleton Town diverted at R907 Main Street onto L3621-0 Broderick Street, onto L3631-0 Riverside Way and onto R907/R626 Cork Road/Mill Road.



Traffic travelling south through Midleton Town diverted at R626 Mill Road onto L3631-0 Riverside Way, L3621-0 Broderick Street and onto R907 Youghal Road.



Traffic travelling south along R627 from Dungourney takes the L7630-0 at Broomfield East. At Broomfield West take R626 to travel north or L3822-1 and L3288-0 Northern Relief Road to join the N25.



Traffic travelling south through Midleton Town from Dungourney diverted onto Drury’s Ave. onto the L9403-1 The Green and onto the R907. Continue on the R907 to join the N25 or take the L3631-0 Riverside Way to travel south west

The R595 from its junction with the R595 Townsend Street to its junction with the R595 North Street.



The L-9810-0, entrance into Public Car Park adjacent to Supervalu, off Main Street, from its junction with the R595 Main Street to its junction with the L-9811-0 Public Car Park adjacent to Supervalu.



The L-9811-0 Public Car Park adjacent to Supervalu, from its junction with the R595 Townsend Street to its junction with the R595 Market Street.



Period of Closure

00.00 Midnight to 18.00 hrs on Sunday 15th September 2019.



Reason for Closure

To facilitate



Alternative Routes

The usual one way traffic system through the town is to be maintained.



Traffic travelling from Bridge Street (L4211-23) to North Street (R595) via Ilen Street and the By-Pass (N71) taking the exit off for Baltimore.



Traffic travelling to Baltimore from the Northern approach via Bridge Street and Rossa Road (L-4254) or North Street, High Street (L-4216) and Gortnaclohy By-Pass (L-4253) onto Market Street.



Vehicular access will be limited to emergency traffic only during the event

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-

R600 Gallanes, Clonakilty (from the junction of the L-4017-0 for approximately 600m heading towards the N71)



Period of Proposed Closure

From 08:00hrs Monday 23rd September, 2019 to 20:00hrs Friday 25th October, 2019.

(Daily Closure)



Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate Road Resurfacing Works



Alternative Routes

Travelling from Clonakilty to Timoleague - On N71 at Faxbridge roundabout take the L-4015-0, L-4015-4 to North Ring, L-4015-27 to Darrara Church and L-4016-0 to the R-600. The reverse applies travelling from Timoleague to Clonakilty

Travelling from Cork to Timoleague - On N71 take L-8090-0 via Ballymacowen to join R-600. The reverse also applies travelling from Timoleague in the Cork direction.



Local access will be maintained for the duration of the Road Closure.



Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-110-19, not later than 5pm on Wednesday 28th August, 2019. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
