TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS



Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-



Road Subject of Proposed Closure

L-2042-12(Part), Ballylangley, Bandon, from Distillery Bridge Cross to Rosewood Rise Estate junction.



Period of Proposed Closure

From 07.00hrs Monday 3rd February 2020 to 19.00hrs Saturday 11th April, 2020.

(24hr Closure)



Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate Pipeline Construction.



Alternative Routes

Traffic intending to travel north-east towards Ballylangley from Distillery Bridge Cross shall be diverted north-west along Mill Road (L-2042-0), turn left at the next junction while remaining on Mill Road, then turn right on the Bandon Bypass (N71-102), take the 2nd road exit at the roundabout onto Glasslinn Road (N71-1024), then continue onto the N71-1027, at Innishannon Bridge Cross, take a right onto L-2042-33 in the direction of Ardnaclug, follow the road onto L-2043-0, then take a right at the next junction onto L-2042-12, continue until approaching the closed road from the opposite side of the road closure at the Rosewood Rise junction.



The above stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-



Road Subject of Closure

R589-0 (Part), Kilbrogan Hill, Bandon, from its junction with North Main Street to its junction Kilbrogan Hill Cross.



Period of Closure

From 07.00hrs Monday 3rd February 2020 to 19.00hrs Saturday 18th April, 2020.

(24hr Closure)



Reason for Closure

To facilitate Pipeline Construction.



Alternative Routes

Traffic intending to access Kilbrogan Hill from North Main Street, shall divert west along Emmet Row (R586-12) then turn right onto the L-2023-0 by the Shambles, turn left at Kilbrogan Hill Cross whereby rejoining the original intended route on the opposite side of the road closure.



The stated route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate Construction of Under Road River Culvert



Alternative Routes



All vehicles from Mallow shall divert via the N72 to the L5320-0, traffic from Ballyviniter area shall divert via the L5320 -0 onto the N72.



Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-9-2020, not later than 5pm on <<insert date>>. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
