Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993, & Part 8 of Road Regulations 1994, Article 12 (sub article 6),  notice is hereby given that the urgent closure of the road as detailed below is necessary, in the interests of public safety.

Alternative Routes:

Traffic wishing to access locations South of the proposed road closure should divert onto the R-612-4 (Bypass Road), proceed in a Southerly Direction and turn right onto the R-613-19 (Church Road) proceed to the roundabout and take the third exit to rejoin the Cork Road south of the closed section of Roadway.



Traffic wishing to access locations North of the closed section should proceed to the junction of the R-611 (Cork Road) and R-613-51(Ballea Road Roundabout) they should then travel in an Easterly Direction and turn left onto the R-612-4 (Bypass Road) to rejoin the Cork Road North of the closed section of roadway.



Duration of closure:

Monday 13th November to Sunday 26th November 2017 (Nightly Closure from 19.00hrs to 07.00hrs)



Reason for urgent closure:

Extension to Existing Road Closure for Construction of Foul Gravity Sewer

Section of R610 from its junction with the L-2470-45 to its junction with the L-2489-0

Alternative Routes:

Traffic wishing to access locations east of the closed section of roadway from the N28 should proceed in a westerly direction on the N28 to the Shannonpark Roundabout and proceed in a northerly direction along the N28. They should divert on to the R609 until they reach the Douglas Fingerpost roundabout and join the R610 (rochestown Road) to access locations west of the closed section of roadway.



Traffic travelling on the N40 eastbound wishing to access locations west of the proposed closed section of roadway should continue on the N28 to Shannonpark Roundabout and take the first exit on to the N28 (Ringaskiddy Direction).



Duration of closure:

From 19.00hrs Friday 17th November to 06.00hrs Monday 20th November 2017

(24 Hour Closure)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 that the following roads will be closed to public traffic for the dates and times stated:





Laying of Watermain & Ducting - R610 Monkstown

From Monday 20th November 2017 to Friday 8th December 2017.

(19.30hrs to 06.30hrs Nightly Closure).



Road to be closed:

Section of R610 Road - between Monkstown (at the intersection of L-2486) and the Intersection of the N28.

Alternative Route:

Traffic wishing to access the N28 from the North of the closed section should travel northwards along the R610 and merge with the N28 at Bloomfield Interchange



Traffic travelling from the South of the closed section wishing to access locations North of the works  should travel in a Westerly Direction along the N28 and utilize the R609 (Carr’s Hill) to rejoin the R610 at the Douglas Fingerpost Roundabout.





This closure is to facilitate Laying of Watermain & Ducting.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 that the following roads will be closed to public traffic for the dates and times stated:





Erection of New Pedestrian Footbridge – L-2050-0 McSwiney Quay, Bandon

From 08.00hrs Monday 20th November to 18.00hrs Friday 1st December 2017

(24 Hour Closure)



Road to be closed:

Part of the L-2050-0 McSwiney Quay from its junction with the R586 at St Finbarr Place to its junction with Weir Street.

Alternative Routes:

Traffic leaving Riverview Shopping Centre will turn right onto Weir Street and then left on to the L2021-31 at South Main Street and continue onto the R603 along Pearse Street and then left rejoining the R586 via St Finbarr Place & Bridge Place.



Traffic coming over Bandon Bridge or Glasslynn Road will travel southbound on to the R603 at St Finbarr Place, continue westbound along the L-2057-0 Saint Patrick’s Quay, turn right on to R603 at Market Street, turn left on to the L-2021-31 at South Main Street, turn right onto Weir Street when then rejoining the L-2050-0 before the Riverview Shopping Centre junction.



This closure is to facilitate Erection of New Pedestrian Footbridge
