TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS



Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-





Road Subject of Proposed Closure

L-8010-0 Woodfield, Clonakilty.

Period of Proposed Closure

From 08.00hrs Monday 30th March 2020 to 20.00 hrs Friday 29th May 2020

(24 Hr Closure)



Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate road restoration works



Alternative Routes

Eastbound take the L-8012-0 at Sams Cross. Turn left on to the L-4002-0 and continue to junction with N-71 (Top of Curragh). Take N-71 to junction with R-599 (Dunmanway Cross). Take R-599 to junction with L-8010-15 to the N-71.

Westbound continue along the R-599 to junction with L-4003-0 (Keohanes Cross). Turn left on to L-4003-0 for 1.5km.



Local access is to be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.



Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-39-2020, not later than 5pm on Wednesday 11th March 2020.

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-



Road Subject of Closure

Road L-4607-75, stretching for 1.8km, from the junction between R585 and the L-4607-75, in the townland of Inchincurka, to the junction between the L-4607-75 and the L8535, in the townland of Carrigdangan, Dunmanway.



Period of Closure

From 08:00hrs Wednesday 25thMarch 2020 to 20.00hrs Friday 27thMarch, 2020

(24 hour Closure)



Reason for Closure

To facilitate Underground Grid Connection Cable Ducting Works



Alternative Routes

From the junction between R585 and the L-4607-75, keep east along the R585-223, until Shanlaragh Junction (where it meets Dunmanway Road). At the Shanlaragh Junction turn left onto R585-197 until Glan Junction. At Glan turn left onto R587-95, R587-67 until second left after Kilmichael Ambush Site, for Johnstown on the L8527-0 , at bridge keep left , at Johnstown old pub turn right down the hill, pass the old school building. At cross of four road turn left onto the L4607-55 until the junction with L8535, in the townland of Carrigdangan.



From Carrigdangan follow same route in the opposite direction.

L4412 (Cooradarrigan to Schull village).



Period of Closure

From 07:00hrs on Monday 23rd March 2020 to 19:00hrs on Monday 4th May 2020. (24 hour Closure).



Reason for Closure

To facilitate installation of watermain pipework



Alternative Routes

Alternative route is via the L4414 Rathcool road joining the R592 (at the workhouse cross). Diversion will be signposted.



Residential access ONLY to be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.

Periods of heavy rainfall from Saturday to Tuesday may lead to some local flooding as river levels remain elevated. The heaviest of the rain will be through Saturday afternoon, and again early Monday and early Tuesday, with rainfall accumulations from Saturday to Tuesday of 40 to 50mm in places, with some spot flooding. Strong winds at times also, with gales on coasts.
