Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-

L-3424-1 Cooleyhane Road (Mill Road), Macroom, Co. Cork



Period of Proposed Closure

From 08.00hrs on Tuesday 21st April, 2020 to 20.00hrs on Tuesday 12th May, 2020   (24hr Closure)



Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate N22 Baile Bhuirne to Macroom Road Development (Works on the Cooleyhane Underbridge Earthworks)



Alternative Routes

Eastbound Traffic: Follow the L-3418-33 south to the N22. Follow the N22 east to it junction with the R-618 – Coachford Junction. Take the R-618 east across the New Bridge to the junction with the L-3423-0. Follow the L-3423-0 to its junction with the eastern end of L-3424-1 Cooleyhane Road.

Westbound Traffic: The above mentioned route is applicable in reverse.



Local access will be maintained



Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-46-2020, not later than 5pm on Wednesday 18th March, 2020. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

Period of Proposed Closure

From 20.01hrs Sunday 12th April, 2020 to 06.00hrs Friday 17th April, 2020

(24 Hr Closure)



Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate the Installation of a New Foul Sewer and Rising Mains



Alternative Routes

On approach from the R624 traffic will be diverted on to the Lower Road (L-2965-20) towards Cobh Town. At the roundabout traffic will have access through the Port of Cork Cruise Terminal into the Five Foot Way Carpark and exit from the carpark via the Port of Cork Cruise Terminal.



Local access will be maintained for the duration of the closure.



Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-45-2020, not later than 5pm on Wednesday 18th March, 2020. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

L-3601 Midleton to Castlelyons Road - from Two Pot Cross Roads to 3 Crossroads at Ballyedmond, Midleton.



Period of Proposed Closure

From 08.30hrs on Tuesday 14th April, 2020 to 17.00hrs on Friday 8th May, 2020

(Daily Closure)



Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate Restoration Improvement Roadworks from Walshtown Bridge to Oldcourt East.



Alternative Routes

Travelling Southbound from Castlelyons detour from Two Pot Cross via the L-3600 and L-3800 to Dungourney village. In Dungourney village join the R-627 to Midleton Town.



This alternative route is also applicable in reverse.



Local access maybe accommodated when works allow. The works are weather dependant and will be carried out over a numbers of days during the Temporary Road Closure period and at other times the road will remain open.



Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-44-2020, not later than 5pm on Wednesday 18th March, 2020. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following roads for the period and reason specified below:-

R- 628-34 & R-628-63 (Sections of) - O’ Leary’s Cross – Aghern, Conna, Co. Cork.



Period of Proposed Closure

From 08.00hrs on Monday 13th April 2020 to 18.00hrs on Saturday 18th April 2020.



Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate laying a watermain across Ballynella Bridge.



Alternative Routes

Traffic heading west, detour onto the L-1516 in Conna via the school road and westwards via the L-1521 & L-1520 to Castlelyons School Cross and South via the L-1519 to O’ Leary’s Cross.



The above mentioned diversion is applicable in reverse.



Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure but no through access across the bridge will be permitted during the closure



Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-47-2020 not later than 5pm on Wednesday 18th March 2020. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-



Road Subject of Closure

L-6243-0, Moneen, Templemartin, Bandon (from Agnamarroge Cross Road to Garranes Cross Lower).



Period of Closure

From 08.00hrs Monday 6th April 2020 to 16.00hrs Friday 10th April, 2020

(24 Hr Closure).



Reason for Closure

To facilitate construction of a cattle underpass.



Alternative Routes

Traffic intending to access L-6243-0 at Agnamarroge Cross Road shall divert north along L-6242-0, then turn left while remaining on L-6242-0, then turn left onto L-6239-0, follow the road onto L-6244-0, then keep left onto L-6245-0, then approach the closed road from the opposite end.



The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.



Local access is to be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
