TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS



Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-



Road Subject of Closure

L-3405-60 (Part) Ballymakeera - from its junction with N22 to its junction with the L- 7430 Gortanacra Cross.



Period of Closure

From 07:30hrs Monday 20th July, 2020 to 18:00hrs Sunday 30th August, 2020

(24hr Closure).



Reason for Closure

To facilitate the Installation of Ballymakeera WWTP Foul Rising Main Pipe Works.



Alternative Routes

Approaching from the East - at the junction of the L3405-60 in Ballymakeera and the N22 continue along the N22. At its intersection with L3400-79 (N22, L-3400) Coolea Road turn left and continue to the junction L-3405-0 at Murnaghbeg Cross. Turn left onto the L-3405-0 and continue south to Rath West cross junction of the L-3406 and L-3405-40.



Approaching from the West - at the junction of the L3405-60 in Ballymakeera and the N22, continue along the N22. At its intersection with L-3402-123, turn right at the Lynch’s Cross Roads (Half-way junction). Continue west on the L-3402 to the junction L-3406-0 Reananerree School Cross, turn right. Continue northwest on the L-3406-0 to Rath West cross junction of the L-3406 and L-3405-40.



This alternative route is also applicable when travelling in the reverse.

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-

R-629 from Bowles Gate Cross Roads (R-629, L-3629) to Cloyne Village 4 Cross Roads (R-629, R-631, L-3633)



R631 Whitewell Cross to Cloyne, Co. Cork

R-631 from 4 Cross Roads, Rostellan. (R-630, R-631, L-7660) to Cloyne Village 4 Cross Roads (R-629, R-631, L-3633)



Period of Proposed Closure

From 08:30hrs on Monday 27th July 2020 to17:00hrs on Friday 31st July 2020

(Daily Closure)



Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate Surface Dressing Works



Alternative Routes

Detour for R-629: From R-629 T-Junction at Ballynacorra Grotto detour south via the R-630 Whitegate Road to Saleen and onto Whitewell Cross at Ballydwyre turning East Via R-631 to Cloyne Village. This alternative route is also applicable in reverse.



Detour for R-631: From R-631/ R630 Junction at Whitewell Cross, Ballydwyre continue north via the R-630 Whitegate Road to Saleen and onto Ballinacurra turning East at Ballinacurra Grotto onto the R629 to Cloyne Village. This alternative route is also applicable in reverse.



The above roadworks will be undertaken consecutively and detour routes will be open.



Local access maybe accommodated when works allow. The works are weather dependant and will be carried out over a numbers of days during the Temporary Road Closure period and at other times the road will remain open.



Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-104-2020, not later than 5pm on Monday 13th July 2020. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

L-9719-0, Market Street, Kinsale (Boyle Sports to Silent Banjo).



Period of Proposed Closure

From 08:00hrs on Monday 27th July to 18.00hrs on Wednesday 30th September 2020

(24hr Closure).



Reason for Proposed Closure

Temporary pedestrianisation of street during the summer season to assist both with National Social Distancing Guidelines and the re-opening of businesses. The overall objective is to create Pedestrian Priority Zones within the Town Centre thereby promoting a Covid Safe Environment on our public streets that is mutually beneficial to both the Town’s people, visitors and businesses.



Alternative Routes

Continue on L-3234 Market Square for 70m and turn left onto Main Street at Tap Tavern, Gaurdwell.



Local access will be maintained to “Joe Neville’s Yard”.



Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC 107- 2020- not later than 5pm on Monday 13th July 2020. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-



Road Subject of Proposed Closure

R589-102, Curra, Crossbarry, closed from its junction with L-6278-15 at Crossbarry East Junction to its junction with L-2230 at Killeady.



Period of Proposed Closure

From 08:00hrs on Monday 27th of July 2020 to 20:00hrs on Friday 31st July 2020.

(Daily Closure)



Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate Road Resurfacing



Alternative Routes

Traffic at Crossbarry intending to traverse R589-102, shall be diverted west along the R589-76, follow onto R589-43(through Brinny), R589-18, R589-0 to Kilbrogan Hill, Bandon, at the junction turn left onto North Main Street (R586-0), then after the bridge turn left onto Glasslinn Road, then take the 1st road exit at the roundabout onto the N71-1024, then follow onto in sequence N71-1027, N71-1060 (to Innishannon), N71-1065, N71-1066, N71-1087, at Halfway Roundabout take the 1st Exit on to R589-132, turn left at the next junction after the bridge while remaining on the R589-132, continue onto R589-114 to Killeady as approaching the road closure from the opposite side.



Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the road closure where possible



Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-108-2020, not later than 5pm on Monday 13th July 2020. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
