TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS



Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-

L-7020 Templeusque, Glanmire, Co. Cork



Period of Proposed Closure

From 8:00hrs Monday 06th April 2020 to 17:00hrs Friday 10th April 2020. (24hr Closure).



Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate the construction of a cattle underpass, effluent holding tank and all associated site works.



Alternative Routes

Northbound Diversion Route on the L-7020

Motorists wanting to travel North on the L-7020 will be directed east towards Annacarton Bridge along the R616 before making a left turn on to the R639. Motorists will then be directed to take a left hand turn on to the L-6978. Motorists shall continue to the T-junction where they will rejoin with the L-7020.



Southbound Diversion Route on the L-7020

Motorists wanting to travel South on the L-7020 will be directed east towards the junction with the R639. Motorists shall then turn right on to the R639 towards Annacarton Bridge and then turn right on to the R616. Motorists shall continue along the R616 until rejoining the L-7020 at the crossroads.



Local access shall be maintained throughout the duration of the road closure.



Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-35-2020, not later than 5pm on Tuesday 3rd March 2020. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS



Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-





Road Subject of Proposed Closure

L-6243-0, Moneen, Templemartin, Bandon (from Agnamarroge Cross Road to Garranes Cross Lower).



Period of Proposed Closure

From 08.00hrs Monday 6th April 2020 to 16.00hrs Friday 10th April, 2020

(24 Hr Closure).



Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate construction of a cattle underpass.



Alternative Routes

Traffic intending to access L-6243-0 at Agnamarroge Cross Road shall divert north along L-6242-0, then turn left while remaining on L-6242-0, then turn left onto L-6239-0, follow the road onto L-6244-0, then keep left onto L-6245-0, then approach the closed road from the opposite end.



The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.



Local access is to be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.



Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-33-2020, not later than 5pm on Wednesday 4th March 2020. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

N71 National Secondary Road - Ballydehob to Bantry

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROAD – N71 National Secondary Road BALLYDEHOB TO PARKANA



Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Article 12 of the Roads Regulations, 1994, that Cork County Council, the Road Authority for the County of Cork, will, pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993, temporarily close the public road as detailed below, for the period and for the reason specified and that the alternative route(s) described below will be available while the road is temporarily closed.



Road to be Closed:

The N71 National Secondary Road from the junction of the N71 and R592 on the outskirts of Ballydehob Village to the junction of the N71 and R586 at Parkana on the outskirts of Bantry Town, County Cork.



Period of Closure:

From Monday 2nd March 2020 at 10.00hrs to Wednesday 8th April 2020 at 20.00hrs.



Reason for Closure:

To facilitate road-resurfacing works on the N71 between Ballydehob and Bantry and in the interest of public safety.



Alternative Routes:



Traffic travelling from Bantry to Skibbereen shall proceed along the N71 from Bantry Town, then follow the R586 (Dunmanway Road) as far as the junction of the R586 and R594 at Aughaville. Take the R594 from Aughaville to Bauravilla (via Caheragh) and take the R593 to Skibbereen.



Traffic travelling from Skibbereen to Bantry shall take the R593 from the N71 at Mill Road and follow the R593 as far as Bauravilla and take the R594 to Aughaville (via Caheragh) and take the R586 at Aughaville as far as the junction of the R586 and N71 at Parkana on the outskirts of Bantry Town.



Traffic travelling from Ballydehob to Bantry shall continue from the N71 on to the R592, as far as the junction of the R592 and L4413-49. Take the L4413-49 (Church Road) and continue to the L4413-28 through Rathruane More and left on to L4413-0. Traffic will continue on to the L4412-71 and then on to L4412-95 to the junction with the R591. Traffic will go right on to the R591, via Durrus to meet the N71 at Hollyhill on the outskirts of Bantry town.



Traffic travelling from Bantry to Ballydehob shall proceed along the N71 from Bantry, then take the R591 via Durrus to the junction of the R591 and L4412-95 at Drishane. Continue on the L4412-95 to the L4412-71 and then on to the L4413-0. Traffic will turn right on to the L4413-28 through Rathruane More and on to the L4413-49. Traffic will continue on the L4413-49 until the junction with the R592 at Ballydehob.





The diversion routes will be fully signposted. Local access will be maintained. 02 2020

Period of Closure

From 07.00hrs on Tuesday10th March 2020 to 19.00hrs on Wednesday 10th June 2020. (24hr Closure).



Reason for Closure

To facilitate installation of new Water Mains



Alternative Routes

The roads will be closed in sequence from Leap up to the reservoir (or vice versa), R1 first, then R2, then R3. This will be the case so that a suitable access/diversion route is maintained.



Local access to be maintained at all times.
