Carlow County Council wish to advise consumers that due to essential upgrade works on the watermains that the water supply serving the following areas will be shut downon Thursday, 8th June, 2017 between the hours of 10.00am and 5.00pm
Tullow Industrial Estate Bunclody Road, Tullow
Altamont & surrounding areas.
Carlow County Council and Irish Water apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Updated 03/02/2016 It has come to the attention of Irish Water and Roscommon County Council that the water supply served by Ballinlough Loughglynn public water scheme is contaminated with Cryptosporidium. On the advice of the Health Service Executive, a is being issued. Accordingly, in the interest of public health, it is recommended that all users on the Ballinlough Loughglynn water scheme boil water before use.
Water must be boiled for:
Drinks made with water
Preparation of salads and similar foods, which are not cooked prior to eating
Brushing of teeth
Making of ice
Areas Affected include Ballinlough, Cloonfad, Trien, Cloonkeen, Cloonbunny, Silverfield, Cloonagh, Tonragee, Garanlahan Lowberry and all townlands surrounding these. Semi Private Group schemes served by the public water supply are also affected.
As part of essential maintenance in the Kilmore area the water supply will be interrupted in Rickardstown & Kilturk from 0930 to 1230 today 2/6/17. Please expect some possible discolouration and pressure fluctuations following works. 06 2017
