Works are scheduled to take place between 10am and 4pm on 12 September.

A traffic management plan will be in place for the duration of these works.

Works are scheduled to take place from 7:30am until 1pm on 11 September.

Roscommon County Council and Irish Water wish to advise customers served by the North East Regional Water Supply Scheme that following areas on this scheme will experience disruption to water supply on Monday 11th September 2017 from 12 noon to 4.30 p.m. approximately due to essential maintenance in the area:  

The areas that will be affected are as follows: 

Rooskey Village 
(including the National School)

It has come to the attention of Irish Water and Roscommon County Council that the water supply served by Ballinlough Loughglynn public water scheme is contaminated with Cryptosporidium. On the advice of the Health Service Executive, a is being issued. Accordingly, in the interest of public health, it is recommended that all users on the Ballinlough Loughglynn water scheme boil water before use.

Water must be boiled for:

  • Drinking

  • Drinks made with water

  • Preparation of salads and similar foods, which are not cooked prior to eating

  • Brushing of teeth

  • Making of ice

Areas Affected include Ballinlough, Cloonfad, Trien, Cloonkeen, Cloonbunny, Silverfield, Cloonagh, Tonragee, Garanlahan Lowberry and all townlands surrounding these. Semi Private Group schemes served by the public water supply are also affected.
