Water Restrictions in the Skerries/Balbriggan area

Water Restrictions in the Skerries/Balbriggan area

s - Wednesday 7th March 2018

Thanks to the support of water users in the Fingal Area our water supply is beginning to stabilise with reservoir levels In Fingal increasing . The restricted areas including Balbriggan/Skerries have been returned to full water supply throughout  today, Wednesday 7th March and every household should have received water and their storage tanks should be recharged.  However, to ensure the level in reservoirs is maintained, the water supply in the Balbriggan/Skerries areas will  be  restricted during the period 20:00 on Wednesday 7th March to 06:00 on  Thursday  8th March 2018.  This restriction will lead to a reduction in supply for some properties and it is likely that a small number of properties will have no water supply.

The water tanks at Pinewood Balbriggan and the Point Shopping Centre, Skerries will be maintained for the present.

We are appealing to households and businesses to continue to conserve water and to report any visible leaks.

Customers who experience a loss of water pressure or an outage should check with their neighbours. If neighbours are similarly affected it is likely that a burst or leak has occurred and customers should telephone Irish Water on 1850 278 278.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this reduction in supply
