Power outages in County Wexford have affected the following water supplies

New Ross Water Supply Scheme- Castlemoyle Water Treatment Plant Outage at plant will lead to loss of supply in Bishopstown, Irishtown, Maudlins, Bawnmore, Knockavilla, Mountgarrett, Ballyanne from 18:00 this evening Outage tomorrow morning anticipated for Hewitsland , Arnestown area.

Sow Regional-Screen Booster Outage affecting supply in the Curracloe area

South Regional-Ballycullane Booster outage affecting supply in Duncannon, Ballyhack, Arthurstown, Shielbaggan

New Ross Town water update

Due to the extreme weather and associated power cuts there will be no water in the following Areas of New Ross: Bishopstown, Irishtown, Maudlins, Bawnmore, Knockavilla, Mountgarrett, Ballyanne.

 

Estimated time of water outage, 18:00hrs onward. Please conserve water.

 

All will be done to restore supply today but due to scale of weather event outage may be of longer duration.

resulting from Storm Ophelia

- Troyswood (Kilkenny City)
- Bennettsbridge.
- Graiguenamanagh.
- Callan.
- Mullinabro (supplying south Kilkenny/Ferrybank/Belview)
- Glenmore
- Ballyragget.
- Clogh/Castlecomer.
- Clonassy.
- Inistioge
- Thomastown

At the affected water treatment plants water will still flow to customers as normal as it is being fed via storage from reservoirs.

It will take a considerable time for ESB Networks to restore power and water levels will reduce in reservoirs this evening and night. Loss of supply is highly likely if power is not restored by tomorrow in these areas. All customers are requested to conserve water to the maximum possible extent to ensure continued supply for as long as possible.
