The magic-carpet ride is magical! The Cave of Wonders is wonderful! We enjoy the comedic presence of Widow Twankey, and Aladdin’s two sisters serve as a slapstick double act. The musical numbers are of the highest quality, from the eye-popping opening number, “Arabian Nights” to “A Whole New World,” the enchanting romantic number that takes Aladdin and Princess Jasmine on their magic carpet ride. The newly written script features a female Genie known to her friends as Jeannie, that magically draws audiences into exotic Arabia and walks off with the show in “Friend Like Me,” an extremely flashy production number that is a bona fide showstopper. Come along on our adventure as we capture children’s imaginations and help to create magical family memories at Christmas Wednesday 14th December - Sunday 18th December , 7.30pm & 2.30pm (Sat & Sun only) Tickets: €17/€13conc, Family of 4 €55

  • Start Date/Time: 30/11/2016, 20:00
  • Details: Brendan J Byrne. Ireland, Denmark, Sweden 2016, 105 mins Cert: CLUB. Language: English In the spring of 1981 Irish Republican Bobby Sands’ 66-day hunger strike brought the attention of the world to his cause. Drawing on an Irish Republican tradition of martyrdom, Sands’ emotive, non-violent protest – he wished to be classified as a political prisoner – became a defining moment in 20th century Irish history. Sands’ death after 66 days marked a turning point in the relationship between Britain and Ireland, and brought a global spotlight to the Northern Irish conflict – which eventually triggered international efforts to resolve it. Bobby Sands: 66 Days is a major feature length documentary exploring Sands’ remarkable life and death, 35 years on from his ultimate sacrifice. The spine of the film is comprised of Sands’ own words, drawn from his hunger strike diary – a unique insight into the man and his beliefs as he embarked on his final journey.)
