An aidhm atá ag High Rock Productions ná chun muinín agus misneach a thabhairt do dhaltaí agus iadsan ag ullmhú don Bhéaltriail. Maireann an seó ar feadh 1 uair. Tá clú agus cáil ar an seó seo agus tá sé feicthe ag breis is 10,000 dalta ag an bpointe seo. The aim of this one hour show is to make students more comfortable with the exam format and to inspire confidence in them as they prepare for An Bhéaltriail. The production has been seen by over 10,000 students to date as it tours across the country including Carlow schools in 2016. A must for Leaving Cert students in preparation for their Oral Irish Examination. Tickets: €5 per student & Teachers go free

  • Details: As a lasting legacy of the Carlow Ireland 2016 Centenary Programme, this innovative and unique contemporary stained glass mural illustrates a Carlow narrative showing some key Carlow figures such as Micheál O’Hanrahan who grew up on Tullow Street and Nurse Margaret Kehoe from Leighlinbridge who lost her life on Easter Monday 1916, and tells of the role they played in 1916. Rich in symbolism the piece was created by Peadar Lamb, an artist working primarily in the medium of stained glass for over twenty years, using hand-made glass and a variety of techniques which have changed little over the centuries. Well worth a visit, Admission to the Museum as always is free! Opening Hours: Monday - Saturday 10.00am - 4.30pm

  • Title: The Quiet Revolution - 70th Anniversary of Rural Electrification Exhibition
  • Venue: Carlow County Museum

  • Details: The Rural Electrification Scheme has been described as one of the greatest social and economic developments in twentieth-century Ireland. This exhibition explores the bringing of the light to Carlow, from the first public lighting in 1891, to the implementation of rural electrification in the area (1947-1963) and has a focus on Paddy Dowling, Carlow Person of the 20th Century. The Quiet Revolution Exhibition has been developed in association with the E.S.B.. Admission is free. Opening Hours: Monday - Saturday 10.00am - 4.30pm
